Joe is a tOSU alum. So they can sort of count him if they want.

Chase Young is really good but we can't accurately gauge just how good. He plays on a team that has FAR superior talent than any other team in their conference. Fields is ok but nothing special. Dobbins is good but once again, it's easy to look good against far inferior competition.

In the biggest rivalry game this year, what was Young's stats? How do you not record a single tackle and play an entire game.....being considered the most elite defensive player of the year and also be considered for the Heisman?

Ja'Marr Chase could easily be considered a candidate. He leads the nation in receiving TDs (17), is 2nd in yards (1st among P5) and leads the nation in ypc (20.8) of WRs with over 1000 yds.

OSU has beaten better teams than LSU...look at the CFP rankings

And I’m joking about the wins but the CFP likes the B1G a ton this season for some reason

Jamaar Chase should be invited but no one wants to talk about that. He's having a crazy season along with basically the whole offense.

I agree but I think the entire fan base and LSU know that could take votes away from Joe. I think Belitnkoff is where LSU is pushing for Chase.

LSU needs to get off their arse and put together their own media for Joe. Those little videos posted to social media is not going to cut it, they are good but there needs to be more.

He has dominated every team we've played following the first game. Against the highest ranked teams and defenses he has faced (Bama, Auburn and Florida), he has averaged 7 catches for 130 yards and a TD.

Joe is and will always be a Buckeye. Y'all needed a yankee to come bail you out. Go Bucks!

See, the thing is, when you choose to transfer from a team and join another team you are actually on the team you joined and not the one you left.

I know it gets cold up there but its pretty easy to follow.

Also, it seems to me Joe is much happier in his new spot or maybe I imagined everything I witnessed at Tiger Stadium last Saturday.

Actually he wanted to be a Cornhusker and OSU really did not want him except for Hermen.

I have 3 degrees and I identify with my terminal degree university (LSU) than my undergrad work. The other university was good, but LSU was just better and more fun. I can see how someone can identify with a graduate university more than their undergraduate uni.

I had to chuckle when i read in an OSU forum where one poster said there might be 3.5 buckeyes at the Heisman since Joe is an OSU grad and " Once a buckeye always a buckeye".

For reference, Chase has had a year very similar to Amari Cooper when he got 3rd or 4th in Heisman voting

One of the things I dislike most as I get older is "narrative" and how public opinion is shaped independent of reality and logic.

OSU couldnt groom Joe into a Heisman winner, it took Spread Orgeron and crawfish. (and the fact that Joe is really good at football with an incredible work ethic and desire to be as good as he is)
