I disagree... Rarely, do you ever see a pitch on the outside edge of the plate called a "ball" on a full count. The way I see it, the batter makes the pitcher "work" to get to a full count, then it's the pitcher's turn to make the batter "work" to get a free pass to base. I appreciate strike 3 calls on the edge of the plate, classic duel.

They are pathetic on texags right now. They lose two games and whine non stop about Ben McDonald, umps, having the better team, Alex box, etc. Lsu needs to crush them today so we don't have to hear so much pathetic whining from them.

Point is it wasn't on the "edge". It was quite a few inches out. When it is closer, I agree with you 100%.

Check out the pitch called a ball before this one. A strike all the way. A PH batting .214 does not take a 3-2 pitch that close. Earlier in the game, runners for LSU on base, and we had 2 called 3 strikeouts ending an inning, potentially costing LSU a couple of runs.
