The 2022 secondary portal haul was excellent. It’s been a steep drop off since.

No for sure I agree Polian had to go because he couldn’t grasp the regionality of LSU recruiting.
Just saying it would have been cool to be able to marry his ability to portal with our current local staff. Didn’t work and BK had to let him go for the better of the program

Kelly went an entire recruiting cycle with no D-line coach and a dead man walking at DC. That is a much bigger issue this year and moving forward than anything O did or didnt do.

Putting all of recruiting in the hands of Frank was the right call. The clusterfrick on the defensive staff is just another page of the chapter as to why the program is in the position it is right now.

There has been players been brought in through the portal. Some hits, some misses. The problem is 50 scholarship players just a few years ago. Some don't even realize that major NCAA sanctions doesn't gut a roster like that. Eventually that shite catches up because a program ends up lacking both top end talent & depth. That's exactly what the LSU program is facing right now. Oh by the way, there was minor recruiting sanctions left behind by O that only made the situation worse. I believe it was a loss of 8 scholarships & limitations on visits with recruits that took place Kelly's first season but were a result of NCAA investigations from the Miles & O tenures.

He said the same thing about USC when he interim coach there & it wasn't just in a movie with USC. It was in a presser.

Overrated coach that was gifted two great WRs in Nabers and Thomas and a solid experienced receiver Lacy.
He has done absolutely nothing in the development of the younger guys. Anderson is blossoming but how much of that was from his first year at Bama.
