Loved that 2001 team. We were still on the initial climb and being ranked in the top 25 was a big deal. I was a huge fan of Labrandon “Big Toe” Toefield. Rohan, Reed, DD.
Just being relevant in the National picture was amazing and the fact that i was an 11 year old probably was a factor in how enjoyable it was. We were season ticket holders since 94 and sat through a lot of meh in Tiger Stadium. The first time we went see TGBFTL march down victory hill was before the Auburn game for the west championship. So many amazing memories.
What say you?

2006 at Season’s end I think could have given Florida trouble in Atlanta instead of that crappy Arkansas team that we blew out.

2001 team for sure. Rohan and crew, beating Auburn to go to the SECCG, and then a Sugar Bowl bid. It felt so huge at the time.
The 2006 team was also a favorite of mine. R3fs screwed us hard at Auburn.

2001 & 2006 is the correct answer

2006, 2010, 2018 were all great set-up years. I really enjoyed watching the guys play as they got better and better.

2006........They were as good as any team in the nation IMO. Went 11-2, won the Sugar Bowl, and finished ranked #3 in the nation.

This! It took an incredible game by Archie Manning to beat LSU during the regular season.
2001 lost to Ole Miss and was embarrassed by Florida. It didn’t have a very good defense. Love the team though.
2006 had the talent but was Miles biggest disappointment. We were much better than Auburn and that should have never been a 7-3 game. We were snake bit in the Florida game.

Really thought the 2011 team was set to continue the 4 year NC cycle. Loaded on O with Mett at QB, OBJ, Landry & Rueban Randle at WR, Ware, Blue & Ford RBs.
D had talent everywhere; Eric Reid, Claiborne, Tyrann, Mingo & Minter.
Tough to beat Bama twice in the same year.

With Les? Naaaa. I know he was canned after 4 games but his 2-2 record at that point had already sunk the season. It wasn't a National championship level team.
The '13 team wasn't winning anything with Chavis' D.
1969, 2006 and 2011 were the best chances we had.

2001, by the end of the year, we might have been the best team in the country.
