I plan on using them if I can find them in the same section. If I can't then I'll sell them for what they cost and try again next year.

My turn was today. I only asked to upgrade. That means not adding tickets, just moving my existing tickets. I moved a pair and a single, keep my others in the same spot.
The new system is really cool, and it is updated soon as you make your transaction. And yes it is true , several visitors seats are being moved to the new South upper deck.

I wonder if they are going to use this same upgrade system for other sports? Basketball, baseball?

They already used it for football parking passes last month. I'd imagine it's used for baseball waiting list as well.

So if you put in for an upgrade, you can't keep all your existing tickets? I'm pretty sure I did that a few years ago.

If you put in for a upgrade, it's your option to move your seats or if nothing suits you , not to move your seats.
But i know some people, because of finances. Downgrade their seats.
Example:
216 row 20 seats 1,2 = tradition fee $210x2=$420
For
637 row 17 seats 1,2 = tradition fee $50x2=$100
Sad but it happens.

Just an educated guess on my part, but i think they're in the 1000-1700 range today.

Just bought 4 tickets (2 & 2 on the same row, only 4 seats apart) in the South Endzone, My time was 11:45 a.m. today (July 24)and my rank is 1320. A few pairs left in the south endzone and several in the upper decks. I wanted to get in the lower bowl and got lucky. Right before me, there were 4 together in the South endzone, but they got snatched up before I could get them.

No, I didn't have any tickets in my name before. This was my first time to get season tickets through LSU in 20 years. I've been purchasing tickets from other people for the last 20 years. My family had season tickets in the late 60's through the late 1980's, but through a mistake, they were not renewed. These new seats are right where my family's tickets were located when I was growing up. Glad I got lucky, but it took a lot of donations over the years to get my TAF points up there. I was told that I just missed out on lower bowl tickets last year. I do have 2 club seats in the new addition next year. If you don't get tickets this year, I've been told from very reliable sources that there should be 2,000+ season tickets that will come up next year in the lower bowl.
