I'm also surprised LeBarron Chrysler wasn't taken. He has some nasty stuff that is projectable.

Maybe he wanted the opportunity to play SS this summer. Understand he played 2B in that one game w the Rugaroo.

Don’t like that he quits that’s weird but hopefully he doesn’t feel some type of way the way his role is being played

I'm hesitant to be too concerned with it. I mean, it's a summer ball team run by Ronnie Rantz in a pretty low tier league. It's entirely possible that the the level of professionalism with which the team is run was below what he was used to at both Barbe and LSU and he just didn't feel like dealing with it.

Hopefully he gets in another league. You would like to see him get live game reps at 2B/SS and at the plate.

Watching LaCrosse summer league right now. Mic Paul leading off playing CF and Ethan Frey hitting in the 3 hole as DH in game 1 of a double header.
Can watch for free on northwoods league website. Have to make a free account and the games are streamed.

Mic Paul got a base hit and Ethen Frey walked to load the bases in their first plate appearances. The guy pitching against them walked in 2 runs so far.
Frey tagged from 3rd on a shallow pop up to CF that the SS caught over shoulder. Scored easily without a play.

That actually makes most sense. I can’t see him going anywhere dude loves LSU he said multiple times in interviews and he was the last out for CWS. I don’t see him going anywhere with a better situation especially since JT is gone. I don’t think Braswell is it. Nippolt is great defender but Guidry upside is way higher. And knowing Jay ain’t no way he’s letting Gavin Guidry go anywhere.

Add Dylan Campbell to the list of Texas players that should have been drafted. Another player is honestly Hayden Travinski. I understand that he may not be a catcher at the next level but his pure power is undeniable.

Problem with Travinski is he wasn't on anyone's radar until late April/May

The Tigers can keep the celebrations from this year’s national championship rolling after the way the draft shook out. LSU on Sunday became the first program in MLB draft history to have teammates selected first and second when Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews went to the Pirates and Nationals, respectively. In all, 13 Tigers were drafted, the most in the country and the most in a 20-round draft. Jay Johnson’s recruiting pitch nearly writes itself: come to LSU, compete for a national title, get drafted.
Adding to that success was LSU nearly holding its recruiting class completely intact. It lost prep catcher Blake Mitchell as a top-10 pick but is unlikely to lose any other commits. Most significantly, lefthander Cameron Johnson (No. 43 on the BA 500) was not drafted until the 20th round and is not expected to sign. Lefthander Jake Brown (118) and outfielder Ashton Larson (272) were also drafted in the final five rounds but are expected to go to school. LSU will also get lefthander Kade Anderson, who withdrew from the draft and ranked No. 280 before opting out (players who cannot be drafted are removed from the BA 500).
LSU’s 2023 recruiting class won’t be as highly touted as its top-ranked 2022 group, but a strong influx of talent is still headed to Baton Rouge. The Tigers really couldn’t have asked for anything more out of this week.
