If Reyzelman is a fast mover, he is still at least 3+ years from the majors. Yankees take a slow development approach with pitchers. Most probably won't pitch much in games this year at rookie level or low A, if any. Will be doing strength, conditioning and developmental work at the minor league facility in Tampa. Low A to begin next year, maybe even High A if Yankees are satisfied with his current development. Reyzelman still has a lot to work on developmental-wise. 95+ mph fastball for 30 pitches max will not cut it in the majors, needs to develop solid secondary pitches and build stamina, clean up mechanics etc.

Yall make a good point. I'm not as worried about IF depth since multiple guys can play 2B, SS, and 3B if needed. Then a guy like Tommy White who can play 3rd. Also have Dugas/Pearson that can play IF if needed.

Either way, I'm not sure if either of them will contribute much.

Looking at the draft tracker and playing around with the filters, I just learned that Micah Bucknam was born in New Zealand. That's pretty cool.

I still think him and Siravo are risks. Siravo only because we hear pretty much nothing about him ever. Bucknam because the industry seems to think he will sign if drafted.

Yep. Still a bit early to determine what kind of depth we have and where. Regardless, will be some tough decisions even without a Skenes, additional signees, or portal guys. I think the common belief is that it's Skenes and/or we're done. I don't believe that. I think Jay looks to add 1-2 more, be it another recruit or transfer guy.

100% this. Cressey is head of development and Eric is huge on meeting strength metrics before letting someone move on so that they can handle the stress of the deceleration of the 95 mph pitch.

very similar to the driveline model which shouldnt be a surprise to anyone that knows anything CSP, driveline and Eric's past.

Yea, definitely early. Just basing numbers off the 10 rounds completed to get an idea of where we are at.

Still not out the woods with some of the recruits and portal guys. Plus Dugas and Jobert from the current roster are still 2 unknowns that would change up numbers if taken and signed.

You make ur money in the bigs, not some signing bonus. Gervase finding his way into the bigs 3-5 years from now is the goal. Wes Johnson is a huge plus for LSU, we don’t realize how good we have it, yet!

Downvotes won’t help the truth. I said LSU will have one of the most players drafted

I was really hoping this wasn’t him gushing over A&M again.

Guess it is. Some don’t listen to logic or numbers.

The complexity of the MLB draft is too much for him to handle

We also had the most talented class and expected a number of them would be drafted.

Your prediction was not a significant accomplishment.

Guess you predicted the sun would rise in the east again this morning! Good job!

Bold prediction there. When LSU has the #1 class and 11 Top 100 rated players.

I think a 5 year old could have made that prediction. Don’t pat yourself on the back too hard.

You said a lot of other things like we got fuc*ed in the draft, which is hardly accurate. We're bringing in more Top 100 or Top 200 perfect game players than anyone in the conference. By a healthy margin. See my post here on drafted players in the conference

That wasn’t the argument.

You lost. I said lsu has the most players drafted. I was right this year. You were wrong.
