so again all we're bringing in is good pitchers and no hitters of note?

Oh I thought yall was talking about Aaron, I wasn't that impressed with Austin this year. He made way too many errors in the field, and couldn't get any clutch hits for nothing.

Pretty much hoping that our hitters can progress and the few JUCO's we bring in can help(plus our Tulane transfer).

What was his RISP this year? I bet it was pretty good, and 13 errors isn't too bad for a shortstop

In fairness to his defensive play, 10 of his errors were made in the first 20 games of the season. He made just 3 errors over the final 36 games.

he stuck around all season so he'd be eligible next, that would be really fricked up, but wouldn't put it past him.

I am hopeful that Aaron Nola will join the Tigers next year. He is a very fine pitcher--throws low-to-mid 90s, great control, keeps the ball down, hits his spots, good movement, and can throw multiple pitches. I am very surprised that he has not been picked up at this point, but that is good news for LSU. He has great potential. I am assuming that MLB teams thought that he was a long shot to sign.

This is a fact that people are seemingly omitting often. He was awesome defensively his freshman and sophomore year. He came out unfocused it appeared in the beginning of this year, but his defense was much improved as the year went on.
Austin will be a great asset to the team this year just as he was his first two and he was the last half of this year.
