Are the 2 prospects a Florida signee and a Vandy signee?

As a pure baseball fan I love the way those two play the game. And meeting duplantis what a great kid. Mangum comes from a great family too, ( his uncle kris was a big time tight end at Magee when I was in elementary school) can’t wait to root for these guys in the show.

ETA: But seriously, probably this afternoon. It's always going to be case by case though.

Project...I scrolled back several pages before asking this...but do you think Hess is definitely gone? Any chance being a dominant closer for a full season help into top round?

He would lose all his bonus money being a senior, so no

Trent Vietmeier - but nothing too special

Idk. I kind of disagree with this. There is something to be said for the consistent outings Trent brings to the table. He has been a pretty big part of the bullpen this year.

He's been better this year than last year and I was one of the few that said over and over when the roster was being cut down last year to be on his side saying there's no way he gets cut.

He's a solid pitcher, just not spectacular was my point. He's a pretty consistent strike thrower which is why they like him a lot more this year and used him a good bit.

From the looks of it LSU would have 6 catchers on the roster next year. Obviously that is a glut at one position.

Is there any way PM can find another quality infielder this late that can take Cairo's spot? The kid from Zachary any good?

You can replace Smith and Watson with Doughty and Hampton, but I sure would like an upgrade on the infield that can hit and play defense.

Former LSU quitter Mason Doolittle just got drafted by the Nationals. He's currently committed to Appalachian State.

The 6 catchers will split between C/1B/DH as well as possibly trying one player at a new position. There will also be a little attrition which happens every year.

Mainieri's been able to go out and get a JUCO infielder more than once post draft but that's more of a wait and see once the dust settles.

.325/.410/.491 line at Palm Beach this past season

8 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR in 114 AB; 33 K's to 14 BB's

Had 9 errors and 4 PB in 32 games...but threw out 10 of 22 attempted base stealers

Speaking of catchers, how good is Raymond Torres?

I looked him up and it looked like he had the best pop time at some PG events. Is he just a beast of a defensive catcher who will hit in sub .250 or can he hit a little too?

It’s pretty safe to assume one of the C/1B won’t be back for one reason or another.

I would like to see Willis get a look in LF. I’m not sold on Hampton being a sure fire, game 1 starter, and that move could possibly allow more bats in the lineup.

I would really like one of Willis or travinski (no idea if this is even a possibility) to switch over to 3rd.

That would give you:

LF - Cabrera
CF - Gio
RF - Hampton
SS - Doughty
3B - Travinski/Willis
2B - Dugas
1B - Willis/Travinski
C - Garza
DH - Beloso

That's an absurd amount of hitting in one lineup, but I have no clue if it is even a remote possibility
