All the assistants will be getting and splitting 2.4 million dollars and aranda should have stayed because he would have never been coach for coach for long and he would have been begging for his job back. I give 1-2 years until he wants his job back.

Is that how you would line them up? In no way are logan and Farrell 4-3 DE

Would you have said the same about Marcus Spears and Marquise Hill?

Grantham is good but I don't want that psycho anywhere near this program. And half the dudes on that list I've never heard of

Hill and Spears where way more athletic than Logan and Ferrell are plus the game has changed so much since then you can’t even compare
Show me a team that runs a 4-3 today that has 300# DEs

Charlie Strong HATES recruiting which was the knock on him at Texas

so what. Aranda doesn't like it either.

The whole point of having CEO, is that he's the main recruiter/motivator, and he lets his coordinators do their jobs.

No to Strong and Fisher

This team needs a young guy with some fire in his belly.

Players lose and gain weight to fit schemes!!! Just like they gained weight to fit the 3-4 It’s not rocket science. Moffit will switch up the regimen and certain players diets will be changed to make them fit another scheme. Patrick Queen was 205lbs when he got here and guess what? He bulked up. Neil Farrel was 6’4 292 when he got here and guess what? He jumped up to 315 to be a 3-4 DE.

I agree. Young doesn't need to be 27, but i don't want some 50+ year old. someone in the 30-40 range would be ideal.

It isn't just about their qualifications, it also has to be how they work with the HC. Cregg left the NFL because of Coach O and not everyone that people are mentioning will fit into that mold. I trust our Coach--the one that won almost all the Coach of the Year Awards and the NC to make the right decision for this program.

Fisher is the whore of NFL and college. Been under more programs than anyone, also too old school

Charlie Strong is terrible recruiter

Granhtan last 3 years at Georgia got worse each year.

Shoop is aleady just signed with Michigan

Remember, its gotta be a great fit for LSU. I think Coach O knows exactly the type of guy he needs. He's worked with a lot of Defensive coaches.

I can see where it might be difficult for a guy in his 50’s, like Coach O, to relate to young players and get them prepared and fired up to play elite football.

Why do people keep repeating this? Is there some sort of insane buyout or clause to his contract?

He signed for a lesser role therefore he could easily be in play.

We see this happen a number of times.

Actually thinking Gene Chizik might not be such a bad idea. High profile, great recruiter, and successful defenses in the past. I wouldn't look solely at his HC tenure to determine his ability as a DC. Just a thought. Mainly just do not want Strong, Fisher, Pendergast, or Grinch.
