Also, the lightning delay messed up the Pregame timing. That is why the jumbotron started the LSU entrance video before the band had finished. Both teams normally leave the field at about 22 minutes or so. Then the guest captains and other special acknowledgements are made before the band. There was none of that last night. The band took the field as UAB was leaving the field.

I'm not going to complain too much about the piped in music and the new sound system because I can understand some of the issues. They're trying to provide sound for the entire stadium with speakers on one end. They probably should have considered adding a temporary setup for them in the SEZ for the season (it could be done), but they didn't. I like some of the piped in music, but we need less of it with a better selection. Playing a song to pump up recruits is stupid if it doesn't pump up the crowd. When the crowd is rocking, THAT is what makes an impression on recruits. So, do your homework and pick songs that play well for both the recruits and the fans, it isn't that hard.

More GBFTL, and bring back Neck. Do they really think that not playing that song will keep the student section from yelling profane crap?

OK, since I'm rolling now, I'll beat the same drum that I've been beating for years, too. They've spent all of this time and money on the OUTSIDE of TS. The concourses INSIDE still look terrible. The reason that this bothers me is that, unlike the outside projects (aside from the expansion), the inside renovation could pay for itself if done right. You could almost double the number and quality of permanent concessions and gift shops and make the place far more aesthetically pleasing.

On a positive note, the outside renovations do look nice.

i was in west upper and one of those piped in "songs" (if you can call it that) was very annoying and ear piercing. They need to tone down the crap music. I'm not a big fan of piped in stuff, but if you are going to do it at least make it more middle of the road enjoyable. Not every song needs to be gangsta.

As others have said, at points, the music was ear-splitting. The prevalance and amount of piped-in music doesn't really bother me, but damn, turn the volume down just a notch.

The new north endzone area looks nice, but the setup was impractical. They were trying to funnel way too many people through too few openings.

Ballgame food is ballgame food. I don't understand why people get upset when the concession stand food is "bad". What are you expecting? There's hotdogs, nachos and popcorn. If you're looking for a great meal, just eat at the tailgate or go to a restaurant for the game. However, the Chicago-style dog was a nice little change of pace from the regular old soggy-bun plain hotdog.

Finally, who cares what the upper-deck fans think. Those are the cheap-seats, you get what you pay for.

I suspect you're right about them trying to compensate. I was in the South and often had trouble hearing the PA.

2) Ok...I have been neutral about it for the most part, but the canned music has gotten over the top. There is too much of it... and it was too loud.

I would not mind a little less of it, too. I don't mind some, but dial it back a bit.

4) And yeah...too many people leave too damn early. To each their own I guess. Tired of beating that dead horse, but I just don't get it.

I would be with you as I usually stay til the end ,,. but I left at the end of the third. Had five kids with me and Saints-Falcons tix. I wimped out.
