Adam, I realize that this is the official depth chart for the catcher position, but I would bet that if something happened to Ross, especially early, Moore would be the backup. The other 2 don't have enough experience at this level yet.

Can't believe I didn't see this thread until now; I've been swamped with homework, still am.

Two weeks, folks! And Adam your work is highly appreciated and very valuable in many eyes

While this makes sense, won't Moore be starting 3B? If that's true, then I'd rather bring in one of the Frosh, Chinea especially, to backup Ross to be able to bring Chinea and his raw power into the lineup.

Right now Coach is saying that Ibarra is the starting 3B. Is he playing head games with Moore? I don't know. In any case, we have several guys that are capable at 3B, but only Ross and Moore with any experience behind the plate. Just my opinion, but the other 2 guys aren't ready.

I don't think so. Ibarra won the job in the fall.

I am not saying he is. Just posing the question. You know how things change up through the first few weeks of the season. Isn't it fun having these discussions again?

That's OK--lots of new faces on the team and it looks like they are talented. We shall see. If I can get out of the office in time, I plan on catching the 4:00 scrimmage today. I love this time of year.

Enjoy it for me! I made it out there Tuesday, but I'll be stuck in Middleton until 7 doing homework this afternoon :/
