thats my guess
what did Ryhmes play at LSU-S??
3rd i thought??
and Eades at DH doesnt surprise me. I thought he'd make an impact hitting before pitching anyway, but it sounds like his arm is on track to be a contributor

2nd. What he's been playing forever.

Raph played at LSU-E. With Hopkins recovering from TJ surgery, our Eunice connection will be limited to Watkins and Raph

Alsup seemed to have above average movement on his change up last year. Is his fastball a little flat?

Yes, his fastball movement is average at best right now.

good shite.
i havent seen jacoby in person, but from pictures you can tell he may be kind of "long" to play 2B. I know DJ transitioned there pretty well, but without seeing JOnes play i cant say if he is the same type of athlete

He went to his left and right with great range and made some nice plays. He definitely can play there, but a move from third to second is quite different. There's a lot more responsibility with cut offs, coverages, etc. I'd be surprised if he keeps Jones there, but we'll see.

Yeah, wouldn't make sense when he is better at 3rd and Hanover is a natural 2nd basemen, but it could just be to get Jones some versatility

so PM moved a kid to 2nd base that is uncomfortable turning DBs at 3rd base ?

The next Louis Coleman. Mediocre first 2 1/2 years, came on strong halfway thru his junior year. Will be a stud as a senior. Mark it.
I sure hope you are right!!!

Relief Pitching
Daniel Bradshaw (Sr.)*
Kevin Berry (So.)*
Chris Cotton (So.)*
Matty Ott (Jr.)*
Jimmy Dykstra (So.)
Forrest Garrett (Fr.)
Michael Reed (So.)
Joe Broussard (Fr.)
Sam Peterson (Fr.)
Nick Rumbelow (Fr.)
Not a whole lot of experience comes back for Tiger bullpen. Bradshaw, Ott, Cotton, Reed, and Garrett are the only pitchers who recorded innings at LSU in 2010. The relief position will be vital the upcoming season as it presents the most murky future. While not as experienced as other positions the bullpen does have top quality arms who will get a chance to prove themselves quite early in their careers respectively. Headlining the group is closer Matty Ott. Ott's two seasons at LSU have been a tale of different colors, after becoming a freshman all-american on way to LSU's national title Ott struggled down the stretch last season with an era over 6. After having an absoutely superb summer in the Cape Code league where he was 2-0 with 7 saves and an era of 0.44 Ott is looking to get back on track as the dominant closer with that nasty slider. Daniel Bradshaw plays the next important role as a senior. To this day he doesn't have a set role, it's more on the lines of when and where does the team need him on a day to day basis. Daniel will long relief, set-up, spot start, etc...Kevin Berry the UNO transfer is multi talented two way player who will see a signifcant time on the mound in relief. Berry's job may be similar to Bert's in paving the way to Ott in late came situations. Forrest Garrett and Chris Cotton are the two Tiger southpaws. Cotton last season had a solid year given the circumstances he was put into as a walkon freshman. While he doesn't have great velocity he's a crafty lefty who uses every inch of the plate. Forrest Garrett, a very promising pitcher out of the 09 class has had set-backs with an elbow injury. He should get back to full strength I heard by April when LSU looks to make a run at posteason. Michael Reed will see innings in relief of midweek games. Jimmy Dysktra another two way player (P/OF) will see relief and with his 6'3 frame he has the potential to fill it out over the next three seasons. Kirk Cunningham if he can limit his walks will see more and more innings. The three freshmen Sam Peterson, Nick Rumbelow, and Joe Broussard I have not gotten enough of a feel to know how and when Mainieri will use them starting next week. I figure they'll each get an inning or two in the coming weeks against live action to prove their worth. Watch out for Nick Rumbelow, he's my sleeper in this freshman class.

Cunningham was pretty wild yesterday, but Dykstra wasn't much better either. I don't know if I'd put too much stock in either of these guys. Mainieri speaks highly of Berry, comparing him to Bertucinni (as you did).

They are experimenting and trying people out at some different positions. It's not that hard to understand.

Thanks Adam
Great job compiling this list. I have one request and it's not that big of a deal. I was just wondering, if it's not too much trouble, if you could put the jersey # of each player next to their name. I'm going to try and make it out to practice this weekend and see this team for myself before they finally take the field next weekend. The off season has been entirely too long.
