I am bookmarking this thread, fwiw.

Our offense is going to be stout, with good QB play.

Now that we will have an ACTUAL QB, we are going to put up XBox numbers.

Our offense was stout this year, with good QB play...for the first 8 games. Then Miles turned the offense back over to his pet and the offense proceeded to revert back to the pile of shite we saw the previous year.

We'll see. Like I have consistently said, I will believe it when I see it because I have heard Miles say this before...and he lied.

Still, I hope we do throw the ball downfield rather than rely on a "QB's legs." I hope we use our stud WRs and make people respect our passing game thereby making our stud RBs more successful.

Kinda like we did in the first 8 games of the season. You know, when Lee was QB.

Because they thought they would get by with not passing. They won a lot of games over the last 2 years. We threw the ball more in 08 and 09 with the 2. Our record got better the less each of them threw. The coaches had a good plan, they just botched it against the only team that could keep up with us in 2011. Besides they didnt change much offensively in 07. I doubt they were going to change much for these 2 qbs for another run. Its actually rt on par to what we have seen with miles.

The philosophy wont shift. But the playcalling will. Miles will always value run game, solid d, good special teams. Just watch when we had a capable passer. The offense looked a hell of a lot diff. Spread the ball around more, and we were finishing teams off earlier.

Just amazes me how quickly people forget. Now its possible we dont have a capable passer on the roster. that is when there can be no more excuses, no more mulligans for rp. its on miles and the inability fir him, or for him to hire someone, to evaluate the qb position.

What bothers me is why didn't we do that this/last year!! If ZM is good enough to be the starter next/this year, then why wasn't he good enough to start over JJ and JL?
miles would NEVER sit a senior qb for a sophmore. much less 2 senior qb's.no matter how talented the sophmore is.

As a result of a simplified playbook for the passing game.

It was good while it lasted.

The only reason it didn't last was because of Miles. JJ got in on the 2nd series of his 1st game back, and got increasingly more snaps as we went along.

For what purpose? M]Just had Lee looking over his shoulder. Sure didn't need it to have JJ to be ready for the big game. It didn't work Embarassingly.

Lee had the offense rolling, even against top-ranked teams. Miles effed that up, and he paid for it.

He's back to being a buffoon

To be expected. Miles always adjusts. I mean we all knew QB position was average at best going into this season, at best. Yet we still had arguably the best season is school history. Now we lose both average QBs (and average is being generous) and next year's schedule is way better than this year's. Preseason #1 or 2. C'mon people.
I'm as disappointed and depressed as anyone in last week's performance but the sky is falling bs from some is ridiculous.

Bump for post-Spring Game.

This appears to be coming to fruition. Hopefully it continues into the Fall.

The funny part about his statement is he says LSU will pass more since 2 senior QBs graduated. Typically you do something different because you're losing your stud.

Why do some keep putting this stuff out?

LSU averaged 357 yards and 36 points a game in our 1st 8 games.

LSU was averaging 387 yards and 38 points at the end on the regular season.
