I am bookmarking this thread, fwiw.

Our offense is going to be stout, with good QB play.

Now that we will have an ACTUAL QB, we are going to put up XBox numbers.

And I will be sure to bump this thread for all those referring to Miles as a terrible offensive guy, liar, incompetent, etc.

The liar part was pretty much proven this year.

I don't think he's incompetent.

Well, among other things, his bull shite statements about belief in using 2 QBs. That shite folded like a house of cards once his pet was back.

That shite folded like a house of cards once the Nov 5th Bama game was played.

PS. Why are you so butt hurt over it? Of course. You believe we beat Bama if only JL gets in the game. How sweet.

Because it was absolutely godawful treatment of a person. I kind of value that sort of stuff. Winning is cool, but character still matters.

I believe no such thing. We may well have lost to Bama even with JL in. BUT, JL sure as frick earned the right to a chance at it. In fact, he earned it MORE than that jack arse finger pointer that got to play the whole game.

Wasn't this ACTUAL QB on the team this year? So are we only allowed to have this STOUT offense when certain people graduate or only on even years?

CYA. The only thing that happened at the 'back end of the season' was Miles' stubborn refusal to let JL do anything but take Victory snaps.

+1

Yup.

"offensively, there will be a definite switch in philosophy"

Of course, no more Superman and that's a definite switch in offensive strategies.

Les better make a drastic change or it could potentially do a lot of harm to future recruiting.

After he's supposedly told Shepard it will be opened up a lot, failing to do so will give every WR recruit the fact Les will straight lie to his players for his own benefit.

I still have little belief that we'll get up to more than 40% pass plays.

If ZM is good enough to be the starter next/this year, then why wasn't he good enough to start over JJ and JL?

he has had a year to learn. he's in school. he didnt know everything he knows now, last year. after spring, he will learn one more thing, or two. and this summer, learn even more.
by fall, maybe he will be ready for prime time. the first game is not Oregon, so he and probably one or two other QBs, will get a few snaps in less than stressful circumstances. That should help.

Until I see it, I am not 'expecting' Mett to take every snap.
It would be handy if one of the two dual threat guys can actually BE a dual threat.

The X factor is how a guy does with the pass rush.
There was only one Fran Tarkington. Some guys get sacked.

I guess the SEC leader in passing efficency doesn't count?

Careful clown.....your bias is hanging out.
Jj wasn't a real qb.

Wrong again. Saban is the best in the land and it hurts.

Miles is a quitter. He quit in the biggest game of the year and one of the biggest games in LSU history and Miles quit. Quitters are not good, much less great.

The Mad Quitter is not the best coach in the land and it's not close.

As a result of a simplified playbook for the passing game.

It was good while it lasted.
