Put his name in the stadium next to Stovall and others. His importance to this program cannot be overstated. Retire his jersey, not the number, but do whatever needs to be done. It is long overdue.

Agree 100%. As far as RB he is second to Cannon in importance to this program as far as I'm concerned. And may have been the greatest all around RB in the history of LSU!

Why do yall think 1 is different than the other?

If his jersey is retired, then his name is in the stadium.
Number being retired is up to the discretion of the coach (since 2008) which is why we still have 21 & 37

BTW it is decided by someone submitting a nomination LINK

They need to leave him alone. They’ve done enough to the poor guy.

100%, he needs to be the next retired number, I've said that for quite some time now.

I would have no issue with Faulk's number being retired and added to the ring of fame.

He was the crucial piece to Bringing Back the Magic.

LSU takes way too long to honor past players
Dorsey name should be up there as well

Faulk as a player is worthy of being honored. All-American, 3x All SEC, LSU Career leading rusher.

But I dont quite understand how he’s held up as some program defining player.

Isn’t because he was the first LA player who stayed home in a while and showed you could have success at LSU?

Tell me you weren't around in the early 90's by telling me you weren't around in the early 90's.

I was born in 1990

so technically yea but really no I wasnt.

it’s more me asking.

because clearly he was an anchor in the 95-97 teams, but we then went 4-7 and 3-8. idk if you can say he changed the course of the whole program.

if we hire a bum after Dinardo and not the greatest coach of all time we aren’t going anywhere.

he was the first big time player to stay home in forever.
reversed the hemorrhaging of talent to out of state programs.
then he stayed for his senior year.

he made it "cool" to go to LSU to play football again.
and showed that LSU absolutely could compete and win.

that's one of the things that made LSU so attractive to a guy like Saban.
there was definitely enough talent here to win if you kept it here.

without Faulk, DiNardo likely doesn't have the success he did early. And then maybe Nick Saban looks at LSU the same way everyone did before. As a graveyard for coaches.

so it can be argued that Kevin Faulk is one of the most important recruits in LSU History.

I agree something needs to be done to honor him
It’s a shame Kelly didn’t keep him around
Kelly dissed him at a poor time in Faulk life….didn’t his daughter die?

do we know that he "dissed" him?

I wouldn't consider replacing him with Fran kWilson to be a diss.
Wilson's reputation as a recruiter and RB coach speaks for itself.

I get the timing absolutely sucked for Faulk, but that's an unfortunate part of the life of an assistant coach.
