It's 100% guaranteed he gets a true legit shot at starting next season. Problems with our pass game go deeper than who the QB is however. He does have the much greater upside of the two QB's IMO and will probably win out the starting spot next season.

im so tired of this. Don't bullshite me with JJ and Lee angle. That's the weakest damn argument I see made about this shite.

Next year, the amount of crawfishing from the "Harris will get a shot" group will be amusing.

Oh. Wait. No it wont because if AJ still starts and is horrible, you guys will just tell us that BH must be worse.

And when he's not, all of you will tell us that clearly, the coaches know best and Harris must be worse than AJ.

Which, obviously, no one will have evidence to the contrary. That said, if he's worse, then we've whiffed fricking HUGE at QB recruiting by getting 4 QBs with the best being absolutely shitty.

Harris will know the system and be calmer in game situations thn he was this year. He did get some experience. He will also physically mature some also. We've now seen a season of what AJ offers, and its Harris spot to lose next year no doubt.

I submit to you that if in fact, of the last 4 QBs we recruited, AJ is the best we got then I'm not sure one can argue that this is any better than if Miles is simply mis-evaluating and should've started Harris(or for that matter, Rettig)

I mean shite. We have the 94th rated QB in the nation. Do you realize what some sort of elite company one has to be in(elite of failure) to have whiffed that bad on QBs? Hell, statistically speaking, if would be somewhat difficult for a routine fan simply looking at star ratings to miss that badly much less coaches who ostensibly should be a bit better at it.

Jennings lives in the film room and Harris doesn't. Until that changes he doesn't have a shot at winning the position.

Hopefully he grows up over the offseason and learns it takes a lot more than talent to win over the job

It is as if most on here have not watched the ways of Miles over his nearly 10 complete years at LSU.

What is the "feeling" that Harris will really get a chance based on (aside from injury)?

Miles just doesn't operate that way.

What makes anyone think this is a different situation?

I don't think harris passes jennings up. i'm afraid if harris is qb #2 in april, he's transferring somewhere.

+1

In Les Miles mind he will give Harris a shot. But history shows he falls in love and stays in love.

Miles is an idiot if he doesnt 8-26 75 yards passing. He can't be any worse than that.

No. Jennings is the starter until he's out of eligibility. Harris, if he's still here, will finally get to start when he's a senior. Then, once he leaves, we're breaking in another freshman quarterback. Les is clueless when it comes to qb's; they're his Achilles Heel.

What in Les's body of work makes you believe this to be true? AJ is the man, come Hell or high water. BH needs to leave if he wants to actually play football before he's an upperclassman.

I think the situation will resolve itself.I wonder what goes through harris' mind every time Jennings throws another incomplete pass. If it were me, and if I EVER wanted a chance to show what I could do, I would have already asked to be released so I could get the hell out of Baton Rouge.

Harris is Cam Cameron's guy. He will most certainly get his shot.
