Enough is enough, what has been done is done so lets support the team and the young men who are at LSU, committed to LSU or considering LSU.

This bullshite is not productive.

It’s called news reporting on a pattern of behavior.
If you believe SE is “The Best” available at that time, then so be it.
He promised the “Best”. There was NEVER a conversation about Freeze or Little Briles or any of another dozen more we could have taken away from other schools.
Those were O’s words - not mine.

He has not delivered on the promises and wants a pass.

This was a risky hire in a time when risk should have been minimized.
Y’all believe that December 22 was before or after Freeze talks or Briles talks?
We know what talks were had with them or their agents or any of the others we could have gotten - NONE.

This was a classic Joe Alleva coaching search - NONE.
Blast all what you want but you have zero proof to say there was or a leg to stand on to defend the lie about hiring “The Best” offensive coordinator.

You picked an odd way to try and express your displeasure

Landing our best recruit does nt exactly help your case

I’m going to take this moment, in yet another stupid, whiny thread, to ask if I’m the only one starting to get a little excited about what Ensminger is going to do? I was as disgusted as the next guy with the hire, but it sounds like E is really going to open up the offense to feature our sick WR group (and a better QB). I may be drinking the Kool-Aid, but I believe O is really trying to give us the offense we want.
I have a feeling that was THE reason for the hire. He's seen the potential for years with the talent on staff. I see it as CSE finally deciding to "be part of the solution, not the problem", or at least no longer content to sit back and wonder 'what if'.

We shall see.

I wouldn't say I'm excited, more curious. If CEO and CSE hadn't been friends and the potential that the hire was based more on CEO's comfort level and not what CSE has planned, then I'd likely be excited. In other words, the long time relationship has, in a way, tainted the hire for me. I saw too much 'friends, not boss' from Miles. I can't get past the possibility that this is more of the same from CEO.

Nice try. The search wouldn’t have lost his teammate with the right OC. And like he said, he still was neRlyban Aggie after Sumlin. Was fired.
So a Freeze or Briles hirenwouldnt have pulled this kid?

He saw early PT.

Depth chart matters to every 5 Star

I’m a vocal anti O guy, you are not making a good point about anything in this thread.

OP, my bitch with your thread here & the 100's of similar ones is that this is OLD news with a capital O..pun intended. Give it a rest. Love him or hate him, Coach O is going to be the HC next season & SE will be the OC. etc etc.Repeating the same old criticisms 3-4-5 mths after the fact is boring and adds nothing to your perspective.

. If stating facts about a pattern of behavior regarding of a person that has a propensity to lie and who happens to run the program that is the lifeblood of our athletic department revenue source isn’t of concern to you then I cant help you.
Either you are an ostrich or simply don’t care enough about the school.

If you keep renewing your season tickets you are telling everyone in the athletic office you support hiring from within with no search and strongly support the direction of the program

-LSU GrandDad-

I agree with your sentiments for the most part. I check in on TD only about once a week for the past 3 months because it just is entertaining anymore. I check in to look at the recruiting board and that is about it. Sometime when I have time like this morning I’ll peak at the rant. No change.

I understand this is an open forum and that is part of the allure of the site. but once it has been "infested" with one view and that view is constantly hammered on using amazing spin tactics it is bad.

surely, some of these repetitive "cry baby" posters are not LSU fans but trollers from other competitive schools. I contend it would be a vast improvement to weed these people out. I also contend that LSU alum, players and recruits are being turned off.

while they certainly have a right to their opinion, no matter how negative, enough is enough

Won’t have to worry about it. If there’s an OC change within the next couple years, O AND Alleva should be gone too. So hopefully we would be able to bring in an AD and head coach with a little bit of sense to actually interview OC candidates.

Well said. It's truly hard to understand why the OP's ilk of posters feel as though they provide some type of helpful insight by whining everyday about something that didn't go exactly how they wanted it to go.

So whining about whining is helpful insight? Got it.

If CSE is gonna be so fantastic why do we have to have these other position coaches like Sullivan taking up spots?

Why didn't we just hire a relevant and more proven offensive coordinator who could have hired a good position coach AND recruiter? Instead we have Sullivan who, best I can tell, won't recruit much and has the responsibility of trying to make two OK coaches (SE and Joseph) better. If we just put in a better OC to begin with we wouldn't even need Sullivan's position.

Hopefully it all works, but I have my doubts. Guess we will see next year.
