You want to talk about lighting? That's your big problem with the program?

My point is leadership is missing the most basic things everyone can see and feel...

so it reflects on the entire program an attitude "I don't care, hide the sins"...

I agree its too dark and looks weird on TV.

But that is #1,039 on the list of shite wrong with LSU basketball.

Michigan State is a good example of what your court lighting should look like. It's bright and it POPS... It pops like Rennie Curran on a tackle.

68 teams get in to the NCAA tournament now. We still can't get an invitaqtion.

We didn't play in the NIT last year. Simmons and the team quit.

I don't understand why the OP is being blasted for his observation. Just bc it isn't the most pressing issue regarding the program does not make it any less valid.

JJ, ALLEVA and it looking bad on tv can all occur at the same time. I think.

Tons of fail in this thread. The lighting is one of the smaller issues with the PMAC. The PMAC is not outdated. This is college fricking basketball people not the NBA. Some of the best arenas in college basketball are older than the PMAC. The PMAC was ruined when the powers at be remodeled it circa 2009 and removed all atmosphere from the building. In college basketball it is all about putting your students as close to the floor as possible and in doing so creating a home court advantage. The building can be a piece of shite as long as it is loud as shite. Cameron Indoor didn't even have air conditioning until 2003. The PMAC no longer has any atmosphere and now we are in a vicious cycle where students don't go to the games anymore because there are so few good seats available to students and only the weirdos sit there. But I have no faith in the administration to fix these issues.

PMAC needs more than just lighting. It's an outdated facility, worthy of the quality of teams that play inside. Build a program that makes money, & get a better arena.

There was just a tax voted on for river center upgrades. Why not go laffy style and make the basketball arena and river center one new complex i.e. Cajun dome which is uber better than pmac and river center. Cajun dome gets good acts to come in

When I watch any other team play on TV, the HDTV shows a crisp bright and well lit court....it feels more crisp and energetic. Our court feels gloomy on TV...it's almost like half the bulbs are out or something?
I saw a little of the game last night. At least some of this is the court's artistic design; the big tiger head at center court is lighter woodgrain, and other parts of the court is darker wood. When you are focusing on the play and not the court, it looks like there's a lot of shadows, due to this.

I saw Oregon the other day, and they have the same issue, to a greater degree. It looks pretty in a static still image, but when there is action on the court, those dark and light patches just look like you have a bunch of lights out.
