ESPN has a weird obsession with these as well as player interviews.

The only time it's funny is when it's the opposing coach and things start to go sideways.

Absolutely hate when it happens to us tho

The only ones I’m neutral on are the winning pitcher from the night before since they aren’t playing. But even with those they drag them out way too fricking long and distract from the game coverage.

To me the only way it would be acceptable is if you interviewed a pitcher that has no chance of pitching that day. Anyone else and I dont feel you will actually get anything from the interview.

Agree 1000% about these protracted, inane interviews. I'm sure Ben McDonald does them because he's told to but you would think he wouldn't stretch them out as long as he does (while the game is ignored) with his giddy questions.

You never get anything from these interviews anyway.

No value whatsoever. Zip. Zero. Nada.

You are right. Guess I was saying if they insisted on interviewing someone. I personally wish they would just stop totally. [quote]You never get anything from these interviews anyway.

I agree. People watching college baseball don’t need or want that shite for them to tune in. It’s always so cringy.

Why would we need a interview mid game? It doesn't make sense to me.

Blue acts up during the interview when Jay is distracted answering stupid questions.

"...Who can't stream two coherent words together..."

You mean, like watching Baton Rouge news at 6 pm?

Johnson was pissed because he wanted to reposition Brasswell and because he couldn't due to the interview the bunt was successful and possibly made the difference in the game.

Can’t agree with this although he has gotten better. Most of his interviews contain an “uh” after every third word. Extremely annoying during a 10 minute interview. And, that’s not a knock on him. He’s young and not polished doing interviews. Plus, many times he’s just nervous looking for a good answer to endless stupid questions. Hate these interviews.

Interviews with coaches during any game or halftime no matter the sport are useless.

The ones with the pitcher who pitched the previous day are ok. The ones with the coaches are just awful.

They are useless. Do away with them.
