He’s all the talk tonight. His team has won 10 in a row, won their bowl game 50-3, and he signed a 10 year contract today.

If we could go back in time, would you rather have Kiffin as the head coach at LSU with Aranda as DC...or be what we are currently?

Is O a better head coach than Kiffin? Not arguing, just asking...

No, can't any of you see, Lane is not SEC HC material. He can coach his arse off, but cannot navigate the off the field shite at a high pressure school.

If he is smart, he milks FAU for all it's worth, dude could be a legend there.

He couldn’t handle the SEC when he was 36 years old and still could have beaten one of saban’s best teams.

Another 11 win season at FAU and he will be back in the PAC12 or SEC. I think he will field a playoff team or two before the book is closed on his career.

I’d rather have a steaming hot turd for a coach.

Of course I’d trade him.. Kiffen is an offensive Guru. Orgeron doesn’t excel at anything in particular.

Lane Kiffin was fired on an airport tarmac after going 4-7 in his last 11 games.

Coach Eaux took over that same exact team, same coaches, same admin staff, everything and went 5-2, got the team in the rankings and into a bowl game. This was during the toughest stretch of the schedule.

Eaux has proven to be a better HC than Lane Kiffin.

You do realize Kiffin has been unceremoniously canned from every head coaching position he has held. Well, besides Tennessee where he left after one season and now at FAU where he has only coached one season.

Everyone here is trolling here right, or do I have to snip you myself? I'd rather have Matt bloody Canada as head coach, let alone Lane Kiffin. The man would stop at nothing to humiliate Saban. He's older, wiser, and can sure as hell bond better with recruits. Because they sure as hell don't talk like O.

Media Savvy: Kiffin contract news covered the entire day and then he showed off running up the score. To all the recruits watching it said "Come to the FAU and Win".

FAU finished #3 in Conference Scoring before the Bowl Game at 48.5 PPG. The RB Singletary leads the nation with 32 TDs and nearly 2000 yds. The FAU and Kiffin are renewed.

What he likes best about the Twittersphere is the ability to make somebody's day. On Friday, he does just that for Bobby Reardon, an FAU student confined to a wheelchair as he courageously battles Cerebral Palsy. Kiffin sees a video chronicling Reardon's story and what a big football fan he is and immediately tweets for somebody on campus to find Reardon and bring him by the football office.

Within an hour, Reardon is sitting in Kiffin's office along with a friend of his, Madison Land. They're working together in their film studies class on a project on senior linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair. Kiffin gives them sideline passes and invites them to the locker room after the game.

"The school has done a whole 180 since Coach Kiffin got here," Reardon says. "There's life everywhere now."

After the 50-3 win he gave credit to his brother, Chris the DC, to the players, the school, the students, and said their win streak was something to enjoy, the 2nd longest in the FBS.

quote:

"It's fourth-and-2, but do we take knees here? No, we have a no-knee mentality," Kiffin says. "Does a boxer who's winning on the card in the 12th round all of a sudden stop punching? When Tiger Woods is on the 18th hole and up by seven strokes, does he settle for par? No, he knocks them out. So, yes, it's the last play of the game, but run their arse over. Finish them. Knock their arse out. Don't wait for the scorecard to come in. We don't want any TKOs."

Kiffin is lauded by President John Kelly, the ex-Clemson VP, for his Swinney effect. If had known this I would have hired him sooner. Kelly says that Kiffin has transformed the entire University in every way, academically, donor support, 35% increase in enrollment, 130% increase in attendance, and given the FAU untold millions in advertising, recruiting, and Kelly is committed to making FAU a Top Tier athletic program. Kiffin is expected to be the highest paid Coach outside of the P5.

quote:

FAU president Dr. John Kelly explained Kiffin's impact has transcended football. Kelly told ESPN earlier this month that FAU's out-of-state applications for the 2018 fall semester were up 35 percent.

"And we haven't done anything else differently, so it has to be Lane," Kelly said. "He just gets it, both as a football coach and being able to attract attention to our university. I laugh just about every day at something he puts on Twitter and understand that he's about the good of the institution and is thinking about what appeals to a 17-year-old kid and not a 60-year-old guy (like him)."

That game tonight was one 3.5 hour advertisement for tomorrow ESP and for the University which has recently hired some of the best Research Scientists to maximize FAU’s working relationship with the Scripps Research Institute and the Max Planck Florida Institute, both in Jupiter, to attract talented faculty and to raise money.

quote:

"Hey, I'm at peace here. I can go wherever I want and not many people recognize me, and who wouldn't love living in Boca?" says Kiffin, who bought a place on the water, owns a boat and two jet skis, and has a dock perfect for fishing.

Lane Kiffin can exit his office at Florida Atlantic University and take the second door on the left to see his brother, Chris, the Owls’ defensive coordinator, or continue to the end of the hallway to see his father, Monte, a defensive analyst and liaison within the school’s football program. Or, when sitting at his desk, he can turn his head to the right.
