Part of the evidence is that no one even mentioned him on this board when he showed up in another embarrassing outfit at the ESPYs.

He hasn't done a lot the last couple of years, but he still believes he's a media darling. He needs to understand he's now sharing catches with Landry and behind Baker Mayfield in Cleveland, not New York.

I think he craves being a media darling more than being a great player and champion. I believe halfway through the season he implodes. Cleveland and the team aren't big enough for his ego.

I think he'll evolve into a team player and turn heads this year with his leadership..

besides the Saints I will definitely be keeping up with Browns this year

Agree. He should get off my lawn because he cares more about being a media star than a football star. Both of those are winding down. Save your money...and get off my lawn.

Obj is trending on twitter. Over 10k tweets. Considering the number of FUs Obj has given to the media over the years I would hardly consider him a media darling. And I’m confident he will be an all star this year anyway.

Winding down? He’s 26 years old... Is he a diva, sure, but so long as he’s not causing problems the dude can wear whatever he wants to wear and do what he wants to do, no matter how “embarrassing” you might find it.

Oh, and as for “He hasn't done a lot the last couple of years”, he’s still been extremely productive when he has been healthy, even in that New York dumpster fire.

But he hasn't been healthy. Can he be?

Part of my point - he aches for attention. Baker Mayfield is the alpha dog in a much smaller market. That won't change. Eli never craved the attention in a huge market. Baker absolutely demands it in a much smaller market. I don't think OBJ is mature enough to handle that. We'll see it by week six.

Well we all have our own opinions. I'm glad he is nowhere around my team. He has serious problems.

OBJ may have made his share of mistakes recently, but his outfit at the ESPY’s isn’t one of them.

Do you see the shite that NBA players wear into arenas and for postgame press conferences? It can be hideous, but I’ll keep that separate from their play on the court.

I’ll give Odell the same benefit.

You're the worse kind of hater. You have OBJ on your mind at 2am.

Rather you believe it or not... OBJ is the face of LSU in the NFL right now. When he's healthy, he's arguably a top 3-5 WR in the NFL. Fan favorite, kids love him, and he's never been in trouble with the law.

Instead of cheering him on, appreciating what he does for LSU, and understanding his impact on our WR recruiting despite our shortcomings at QB... You rather spew hate. Who gives a shite about what another man is wearing?

This is a strange correlation you're making here with your conclusion and evidence or lack thereof. The evidence is that no one bothered to post about his outfit? Makes no sense. If he had made SUCH a statement then multiple people would have immediately posted about it. Fact is, no one cares about his clothes in July as well they shouldn't. It has zero to do with his play on the field in the fall.

Giants and Steelers will have better records without their diva receivers. They’ll both be glad they let those clowns go.

When you give a 20 something millions of dollars to play sports, how do you expect him to act?

Uh do you not realize this just reflects badly on you?

No one gives a flying crap about what he wears at the ESPYS (or the ESPYS in general) but thanks for the update on athlete fashion wear at an awards show ESPN created solely for entertainment.

I agree. Being a star has really derailed his focus and it's becoming obvious that unless he makes some major changes to his attitude and lifestyle, his NFL is going to continue in a downward spiral. I hate it because he has a lot of talent, but when you let all the stuff away from the field become your main focus then it's only a matter of time before your NFL career begins to suffer!
