Hope he's not going to be in that 60% of athletes who are broke after their playing days.
he’s got about 1000 times more money than you’ll ever see in a lifetime. So, doubtful.

He definitely had his moments but I have to remember he’s 13 years removed from LSU. He’s on older side

I was honestly shocked he made the roster out of camp. 13 years and a lot of injuries for a smaller WR takes it toll on your athleticism. Good for him to keep his body in good enough shape to make an NFL roster. He may get p picked up by some team that has an injury or 2, but I imagine this is the last season he’ll be putting on an NFL uniform. And that’s no shot at him at all. Nice career.

I’m not sure this means what you think it means. All Business jets are considered General Aviation.

I own 10% of a NetJets Cessna Longitude and I sold my self-piloted Cirrus two years ago for lack of missions. OBJ would have about an $800,000 annual GA budget if he flew 80 hours. Even at 160 he would be at $1.6 million per year. That’s a lot of flying. And that’s in Latitudes and Longitudes which are 8 seat luxurious planes.

As I said, he doesn’t need to make $20 million per year to afford this. If his net worth is $50 million he can easily afford this and own lavish houses and cars. All that other stuff is cheap compared to GA.

Just needs to be smart about it (and he should be considering he went to Newman)

Yeah, he’ll be fine, I’m sure.

And that will yield about $2 million annually in sustainable inflation-adjusted income. He’ll have to pay a little in taxes, but I’d guess only about 10%.
where do you get 10%?

Capital gains taxes are 20%, and interest income would be taxed as ordinary income, and the highest rate is 37%.

He must have a hell of a tax attorney to only pay 10% effective tax rate.

Good management of a portfolio - and he can afford very good management - will harvest losses, match them with gains and limit taxable gains. I’m retired and living off an investment portfolio, and that’s an educated guess as to the rate I’m paying.
