Nothing makes you learn quicker than being embarrassed. O had AMPLE opportunities to win the game and choked it away MULTIPLE times. Even with the bad calls, an average coach leaves there with a W. Not O.

The 3 teams we lost to this year each have more cerebral head coaches and will have commensurate or greater talent on their rosters for years to come.

I hope this loss eats at O and he feels terrible for letting down his players and the great state of Louisiana. He needs to spend every minute of his spare time studying and reenacting game situations because it is abundantly clear he is in “Ogre” his head.

You mean it wasn't enough to be embarrassed at Ole Miss?

He is what he is - a limited ceiling coach. Add to that, SEC bias, and we have no choice to do anything outside of late December bowl games.

Why hasn’t he learned this already? He’s been around long enough to know better.

You'd think this lesson could have been learned after State, after Troy, after ND, after Uf...

He’s embarrassed because deep down he knows Jimbo is the guy LSU fans and administration wanted.

Losing to Jimbo is what he’s embarrassed about, it’s soley about losing to the guy you know your fans want and should be coaching your team.

OM should've been a lifetime's worth of embarrassment. He needs more?

Maybe he's not embarrassed by these performances. Maybe he's satisfied with them.

Include 29-0 at home and it is a shockingly bad body of work in just 2 years.

I agree. Coaches who are average in game management win this game. I have lost confidence in him since the ND game last year and now this. Never thought I would see him play so scared to win. Did the same thing against Arkansas which made it close at the end.

And also, this BS about taking responsibility for the loss after the game is total BS. Doesn’t make it better for me. You have to sieze the opportunity to win it in the moment not lament what you shoulda, coulda done. You have to recognize it while you still have chance to win, not when it’s to late!

Shouldn't he have learned this conservative play calling lesson already against Notre Dame last year in the bowl when we could have run it in from the 1-yard line with our elite RB and ended it instead of kicking a FG and letting ND have a chance to come back and win (which they did).
