Excited to see the progression of Rosenthal, Ingram, Shanahan, Hines, and Deculus! Really hope Kardel and Bradford come on strong. Young maulers like Hill, and the two from Fort Lauderdale can add depth. Lets Geaux Baby!

Just very young. Concerned about depth more than anything, as long as our transfer works out at center.

Yep!

Just can feel the bond. New guy has seemed to transition flawlessly.

I think they should be very good in the run game. It's the passing game and getting out in space that is worrisome. Chushenberry and Charles were very athletic and could get out and run at the second level. We'll have to see if Rosenthal and Shanahan can do the same. Though he played a ton last season, Ingram is an upgrade from Magee. Hines has shown in the past he can be a good "road grader" in the mold of Lewis. But that was in a different style offense. Deculus is what he is. A solid, tough RT. Not an all-world guy. But dependable.

I like this OL for the style I think LSU will play this year which I think will be a bit more of a downhill running approach compared to last season. No, I'm not saying it will be a return to the Les era. But with an inexperienced QB and RB's more suited to run between the tackles vs. a guy (CEH) who was best in space, that approach makes a little more sense given the personnel.

They will need to play together a few games

Good individual talents but haven’t played together for extended periods almost at all

Young? Every starter has been a starter before and played in a lot of games. They might not have played together but they aren’t young.

RT has 24 starts and played in almost 40 games.
RG has played in 18 games including several big SEC games as a freshman.
C was a 3 year starter at Harvard and won the starting job within a week of playing here.
LG started 12 games as a freshman in 2017 which was 3 years ago. Played in more games last year when he came back.
LT started 3 games last year at LT.

I also think you can’t ignore the way the off-season has unfolded. A high octane passing attack takes a ton of time and coordination. Last years core was together playing football for about 18 months.

Chain Gang right there.

You can say they have a lack of experience but all 5 guys have a chance to get drafted with a good year. id say at least 3 get drafted this year. we may lose them all after this year and be starting over next year. this is a solid group. I was worried about LT but if they didn't move Big Dick DEC over then Dare has got to be solid.

If Brennan can run the offense anywhere near JoeyB, then his reads will be quick enough to keep their blocking times down which should help, as well.
