if we weren't so damn predictable with play calling. i can call 90% of the plays based on personel and formation. i think most fans can. well, if a fan with little real football knowledge can do that what do you think the opposing coaches can do?

look at bama? they go against tendency all the time. they actually look at the defense and try to exploit weaknesses.

our oline might not be as good as bama's, but i don't think they are as bad as they looked at times this year. they just aren't supermen.

I am going to try to do this next year. Predict the play when we line up. I'll have to find a decent game to give it a try.

I watched Bama run up the middle for 6yds/carry or PA pass all night against ND. It wasn't rocket science, McCarron just had 5-10 seconds to throw the ball everytime.

Good OL makes a difference and Bama's OL was stupid good this year, ours was make-shift on the fly and inexperienced.

That offense that Bama ran last night was very similar to what we run. Difference is the O-Line and Bama's is just better than ours right now. Hopefully with the experience our young guys got this year will pay off next year.

but ND didn't know what they were going to do. they could and would run or pass out of the same formations with the same personel. ND didn't know where to apply strength to prevent what bama was going to do.

when we line up in the I with 2 tight ends and 1 wide receiver, it's about 99% we're running the damn ball up the middle, and so the defense has 9 men up there to stop it.

First better players that are more mobile and better coaching. Our o line does not seem to improve as the year goes on. Good year in 2011 but they fell apart in the NC game both run blocking and pass blocking which I guess was due to poor coaching.
