Brennan is going to have to do something special over the summer if he wants to see the field. My money is on 14

You guys don't know. You just HOPE Brennan doesn't start

Gonna be hilarious week 1 when 15 is doing the griddy after TDs

I think they're both capable quarterbacks and will trust the coaches' decision making on the matter

LSU brainstorming offensive session post spring game:

Ed: aight guys, where are we on QB?
Peetz: After the game, it looks like we are down to Max and Myles
Ed: Really? Why specifically?
Mangas: They both protected the ball, and each drove the team for scores
Ed: wut? White only gave up one TD?
Peetz: Yeah, that was the Brennan TD.
Ed: Lets try to stick with 1st team comparisons
Mangas: Yeah, I get that. Well, Brennan was 11 of 15 for 100+ yards, with a nice TD to Boutte. And that was after coming off the bench. Max started and went 4 of 10 with 60 yards
Ed: OK, so how did you narrow it down to 2?
Mangas: Max did really well when we put him and Kirklin versus the 2s
Ed: Get out of here with that shite. Max and Kirklin will never see a second string defense all year. Especially in the SEC

The conversation will be

“They both looked pretty good last year. Miles out up some great numbers and Max added an element with his legs late in the season.”

This decision isn’t going to be made on the spring game.

Now we can argue all we want based off what we saw. But the coaches have seen a lot more.

Still think it’s Brennan because he showed how good he can be lastbyear.

+1

Think about from this angle, when an alpha dog like Joe hit campus. There was zero doubt who QB1 was. He left zero doubt.

We simply haven’t seen Brennan go out and take the job.

Expecting anyone to be the next Burrow is setting yourself up for disappointment. Myles was coming off of a crazy injury and looks to be solid. I think he has a slight lead over Max. Designed qb runs aren't going to be a staple of the offense.

Brennan looks much better if you watch some of the other SEC quarterbacks and compare.

You are comparing a Spring game performance where the team is divided, to the best QB performance, Burrow, in the history of the game.
I know because I rewatched a couple of 2019 games this morning.

I think the fact that Brennan, as a 5th year senior, hasn’t completely out shined a true sophomore tells you everything you need to know about this QB battle.

I posted about this yesterday. The people who think Myles will start are being very arrogant about it and dismissive of Max. The ones who think Max will start are not.

It makes me think there will be a hella lot more butthurt on this board if 14 takes the first snap than the other way around. I thought y’all would “support whoever starts.” Posts like this completely go against that.

The absolute hate this site has for Brennan is baffling.

Excluding Burrow, he was putting up numbers we were dreaming of for the last 15 plus years.

He did not cost us a single game last year. The defense and Bo Pelini did.

Now I am not opposed to Max starting , but I’m not rooting against him like some of you are rooting against Brennan.

bullshite. Both sides have chosen a QB and dug in. Both sides are actively rooting for the other guy to fail. Both sides will be rooting against the starter and hoping we lose if it’s not their guy.

It’s the LSU way and it is fricking stupid.

Some of you guys have your heads up your arse. Whoever loses the job is most likely to transfer. Do you really think Jake Johnson would have committed if his brother hadnt been already told he is the starter?

Typical LSU fan bullshite. Brennan is the presumed starter, so naturally all the mouth breathers out there are touting the other guy. It's what they do.

Why, if you are a fan of the team, would you be butt hurt if a good QB is beaten by a better player.
They are both deserving. I just hope we don't pick the wrong one and the other transfers and leads their team to a NC.
Ohio St fans were sure they had picked a winner when Burrow left.

I genuinely believe it's very tight. both looked very confident yesterday. Myles can just fricking sling it man
