Turtle Bay used to be a pretty good spot a few years back. Haven't been to NY in 7-8 years though.

I'm actually looking for a place in the city to watch the UF game.

Anything wrong with Legends?

We're going to be there for the Florida game and that's the place that keeps getting recommended to me.

There are plenty of sports bars in New York. Why not just go to one of those? Why does it specifically have to be a "LSU" bar? By the way, Legends isn't that great of a bar (all around). NYC has plenty more to offer.

Turtle Bay

Not sure what it would be like for an LSU game, but this place sucks at every other hour of the day.

Legends is a nice pub that does a decent job hosting as well as I can tell. The LSU crowd has always been been nice and puts off a good vibe.

There's a Tribeca bar... don't remember, maybe Greenwich Tavern that advertises that it plays LSU games. Haven't been.

I'm sure there will be other bars that play at least some of the games, but the crowd won't be into it much.

Turtle Bay is kind of a big dive bar. Used to be fun to go to LSU games there. There's been no formal affiliation with the NYC alumni group for several years now, so no idea if they even bother putting the games on at this point.

Legends is really worth it (for a few games a year, best in limited doses IMO) but if you are looking for something more low key, d.b.a is a New Orleans bar that shows Saints games on Sundays. Think they do the same for LSU on Saturdays.

Pretty sure its Brooklyn location closed but the original in the LES is still there.

Legends plays the band parts of the game. First down 2nd etc. why go elsewhere. Hell if it were here I'd go there

Don't know if they have BWW up there, I'd assume they do, but why not just go to Buffalo Wild Wings or that type of bar/restaurant that will for sure have LSU on the TVs??

Legends was fantastic for the bowl game last year. Why would you want to go anywhere else?

I agree in my experience.

I wasn't trying to overhype Legends as a great venue, but there's something about the LSU crowd itself, when there for the game, that makes it great. It's just one of those things-- you go into some places and it's a great vibe. The LSU crowd at Legends has that good vibe each time I've gone (4-5 times). At other bars, where nobody is following the game if it's on, it's never that good and I'd be better off watching at home.

Last year, I did consider going to the Tribeca tavern I mentioned, since I only lived a few blocks away at the time, but never made it, so don't know how many fans are there to make it a good spot or not.

Love Legends for gameday but it can get a little packed for big games.

This is why. Went to the Bama game there a few years back. Showed up like 90 minutes before kickoff. Standing room only.

Yeah, totally know what you mean. I have to be in the right kind of mood to stand up for 4.5 hours in a packed bar
