Lol he has never played significant minutes and is a freshman but YOU KNOW he isn't a winner. What a complete low IQ POS. You fit your screen name well.

See, this is why this shite gets nowhere.

Wanting the QB who gives us the best chance to win doesn’t make someone “your boy.” Some of you picked a side before the season even started and refused to watch what unfolded in front of you all season. Daniels’s body of work is objectively better than what Nuss has done in his opportunities.

That being said, I’m all for an open competition and the best QB playing, regardless of who it may be.

Those turnovers will go away when he starts consistently seeing the field. The pick was bad but the fumble ultimately falls on the Oline not doing its job.

Does it matter? Isn’t Walker Howard the messiah?

Well one has had a LOT MORE TIME than the other. Really comparing apples to oranges.

See, you refuse to acknowledge what actually happens on the field. 2 turnovers in a half for a guy who has been a turnover machine in his opportunities for 2 seasons.

I hope he improves greatly, just as I hope Daniels does too.

ome of y'all act like defenders were dropping picks. No, he was placing the ball, with velocity, where they couldn't get to it.

his first throw absolutely should have been a pick and he had a couple of other throws that were very near misses, but hey if it makes you feel better rationalize them to prop up your boy, I understand.

They're both my boys - they are both Tigers.

Daniels is a good runner, terrible passer, bad QB. We got more out of this year than we should have. Teams have figured out how to play him. If he comes back the wr room is wasted as well as running backs.

When it comes to Nuss and JD, people are confusing the one who gives us a better chance to win with the one who throws the ball deep more often.

They just have vastly different styles. Let’s face it, long passes are exciting to watch happen. I think for our situation this year, we needed ball security.. Young team that hasn’t played together, etc. JD gave us what we needed, not what some wanted. If Nuss can correct the turnover issue (experience, hopefully) he could be deadly.

Now ya see, that I don’t agree with. It was Daniels first year in this system. Hard to fault anyone for not playing absolutely lights out. He also improved at the season went along. More time with the WRs and the system and he has all the tools to get there. Calling him a “bad QB” is just wrong.

You mean that first play where boutee broke off his route and was said so later? Besides, did they get their hands on it. Did others get touched. You acting like he was throwing right to defenders tells me you love some JD. Hell JD throws it so poorly down the field no one can catch it usually. I guess that's a good thing.

He’s been trash so far in his opportunities.

1:1 TD:INT ratio over 126 attempts - that’s 1/3 as many as Daniels had this year, so it’s a lot more than nothing.

I hope he gets a lot better for LSU’s sake.

He is a bad QB that can't throw the ball accurately down the field, on the few times he actually sees the rec. That never changed all year. If it did, refresh my memory please, because you and I were watching different games. Imagine what nuss could do working with these recs....as a freshman and not a Sr....JD is going into his fifth year, he is what he is. A good runner and poor passer. That makes a good RB and bad QB.

Yes but "best since jamarcus" ignores a lot of arm talent that came through here.

They were held back by their coaches, but they had the arms.

Happy to see it, not taking anything away from the breath of fresh air Nuss brought. Tired of watching the tuck and run, myself.

Turnovers ALWAYS matter. Ask any coach. I seriously can’t believe someone is up voting that statementAll great QBs throw interceptions. Having none is a symptom of a problem.

I agree.

Nuss has two big issues at the moment - horrific ball security and mediocre to bad accuracy. Part of the accuracy might be explained by how often he goes deep, but in general his completion percentage needs improvement.
