His td throw in that game was nfl, getting lit up and hanging in droppng it over defender to anderson. Both tough road games.

People also forget the two phenomenal throws he had at the end of the ole miss game

This is the kind of stuff we should be propping up for Nuss. He looked amazing post Florida. I have a lot of confidence in him now. But people need to stop comparing him to JD5 and Burrow. It sets unfair expectations for him. Let him be Nuss.

Take away the dropped passes and Taylor stepping out of bounds in FL game and they win. That wasn’t on Nuss. Really only Bama game and 2nd half of TAM game. And this were team losses not Nuss losses.

Is this when Kelly started fiddling in the offense? It was obvious the last 3 weeks of the season & bowl game that the offensive playing calling flowed much better.

Maybe, but one thing is undeniable. RZ offense needs to improve and that begins with a better rush offense. Starting 6'7 Green and adding 6'4 Nic Anderson doesn't hurt either.

He has to pick up yards with his legs. That was a headscratcher all year.
No disrespek but it's as simple as; LSU had nothing behind Nuss if dude went down. 100% that changes with Van Buren in the room. Nuss will be using his legs in timely situations & for a few 1st downs this season. We comin

If you’ve been exposed to this poster you’ll find that he constantly tracked and harped on dropped passes the previous 2 years. This season he ignores and dismisses all the drops which there are more of than the last 2 seasons. Why the sudden 180 on this topic? Double standards are a hallmark of disingenuous people and hypocrites.

Nussmeier & his WR's were 30th best nationally among QBs in drop %.

Do i need to explain this statistic to you, or do you understand that?

lol they were only behind UGA in the SEC who led the nation in dropped passes. Just 2 players on this years LSU team accounted for more than half the drops we had last season. Again you’re deflecting to distract from your BS.

That was the Hilton "uncoachable" game. From the Death Valley Voice:
quote:

Before the game even started there was drama for LSU as defensive starters Bradyn Swinson and Sage Ryan were suspended for the first quarter for "Not meeting team standards". Their suspensions left a mark on the first quarter as DJ Lagway had a ton of time to throw in the absence of Swinson. Dahvon Keys played slot while Major Burns dropped back to play in Sage Ryan's spot and Keys dropped a interception which was in his hands allowing Florida to take the next four plays 80 yards for a touchdown.

quote:

Matters only got worse for LSU as Garrett Nussmeier got hurt and missed a play after Josh Williams couldn't pick up a blitz.
The Tigers made mistake after mistake in this game with a missed field goal, short punts, dropped interceptions, fumbles, presnap penalties, and missed blocks.

Nuss was under constant pressure getting sacked 7 times vs 0 for Lagway who was given a clean pocket.
quote:

The offensive play calling continues to show its not working and given that the receivers aren't getting open the scheme needs to be changed. LSU signed a pair of impressive true freshmen receivers who haven't played yet and if the veterans aren't getting open why not try the freshmen.

Very few argue that Nuss doesn't need to show improvement, but context is certainly important.

You realize who you are responding to right? Of course you are right, but he isn't on here to acknowledge that....he is on here for attention and to argue.

do you know how percentages work?

Like if Nussmeier has 552 pass attempts and 22 drops

and Nico Iamlaeavea has 335 pass attempts and 18 drops

Who do you think suffered more from drops?
