Nussmeier current condition

This was the moment I mentally tuned out of the Bama game - mid third quarter on the drive that resulted in the int, pressure came in and we got a good close up of this reaction (the live version is even worse)
Problem with this mainly is I don’t think this is the first time I’ve seen this face this season. It’s happened on multiple blitzes and is giving flashes of Max Johnson’s face.
Now I’ve been fully on board with the idea that he’s a first year starter and he’ll only get better with more reps (and I still am for the avoidance of doubt) but i don’t know how this disposition gets weened out.
I’m fully behind the BK sentiment on the rant lately, but if we can’t have our main weapon on the field mentally locked in, take what’s available, and not throw away 3rd & 4 opportunities because he’s unable to will his team to a first down using his own legs, then we’re never going to overcome the momentum aspect of this game.
We can talk about shitty contracts in perpetuity and BK’s lack of preparation, but I’m more shocked that BK let Nuss finish this game. BK has to identify when preparation didn’t work and adapt. It’s one thing to let Nuss work himself out of a situation and get exposure to tough losses, and it’s another to let him drown. Texas let Arch take over for a half and it didn’t mean that they were abandoning Quinn. It just meant it was better for the player and the team if he sit and observe the game for a bit.

It's not fear, he's bracing for the hit that he knows is coming

She suffers but we’re all very grateful for it.
I don’t disagree that’s it’s just a face, and with that pressure I’d be squirming too, but this is a microcosm of his current attitude for anyone who’s watched these last two games. Just want to see him slow it down and he should have had a chance to step away that fourth quarter.

When you're smoking weed in the backyard with your friends and hear the garage door open because your dad came home early

Nussmeier is just a big baby like Campbell. Both love to talk shite but pout and wine when they get knocked on their asses.

You serious? Posting a freeze frame of a QB throwing a ball and saying his face looks weird? How long have you been following college and pro sports? Jesus…
yeah, athletes make weird faces while performing. It doesn’t always or even usually mean anything.
Plenty to complain about Nuss, but this is stupid.

Chester missed someone and the rb is looking at Nuss

I never did get why people liked Nuss. Dude can't move and he's a loose cannon.

Analyzing a QB's play based on a freeze frame during a pass is nasty work

quote:go look at Peyton Manning's facial expressions during Super Bowl 48. He literally closed his eyes when throwing one of his INTs. QBs make strange expressions when bracing for impact. It happens to all of them.

the fear is that his vaunted Oline has failed him once again. A qb is only as good as the weakest link in the Oline. LSU has several. When receivers are not given time to run an effective pattern and any qb has to scramble to find an open receiver, the D is winning. This, not the play of the qb, is the problem with the LSU offense against strong teams. the first fumble by Nuss, that everyone blames on Nuss, was the direct result of our new left guard standing there blocking absolutely no one as a lb or safety ran directly past him with even a hint at an attempted block, which directly resulted in a very untimely turnover. Just one blatant example that our offense has to have everyone doing their job, and LSU has many offensive players not coming close.
