You left out that he tore his ACL in week 2 of his senior season. That’s rather important.

yeah, I stand corrected, the 14.9 ypc was for his junior year in which he had over 2,000 yards. and apparently the injury his senior year was an ankle? but he recovered in time to clock impressive track sprints.

it was stated in the thread "the rbs aren't good." if that's true, give this guy a shot??????

Not if BTJ drops it. Ball was under thrown but should have been caught.

No because my point is people always want the next guy. The next might be talented and Lee was in his senior year. But remember how terrible he was at his start? You don't just throw out a somewhat experienced QB in hopes the next dude is ready. I'm not a Daniels cheerleader at all. I'm simply stating that everyone is always looking for the hope the next dude is the guy. Hey, don't we all? But you don't just throw in an inexperienced dude in the mix just to do it.

Yes, it should’ve been caught but it was a lot more difficult to catch that had to be.

The RBs aren’t good, regardless of who the QB is. Pair that with soft as charmin Miles Frazier, and you have no run game

That’s what OP’s post is about

To have a running game you need physical space and equal or advantageous numbers in the box. You can get 6 on 6 matchups if you have Nuss in because you’re either gonna force them to put two safeties back or they’re gonna get torched by an accurate downfield game. The only reason the 2019 offense had any semblance of a run game is because defensive coordinators were terrified of Jefferson and Chase

He’s not going to be any more experienced next year

Having Nuss in the game would have made zero difference. JD did well

bullshite. Y’all are missing the reads he misses when they allow him to operate in RPOs. The reason the run game was getting stuffed is also because of Daniels.

Exactly bro people on here just don’t understand. Nuss will back off the safeties and help the running backs and oline.

The “backup QB is better” mockery is kind of funny since it was true for Etling, Lee twice, Jefferson, Harris and I wouldn’t argue this but some would, Flynn so mostly over the past 15 or so years the fans have been correct.

Apparently FSU didn't get their copy because the guy had like 400 yards of offense.

74 in garbage time with the game over. So first 51 plays 6.6 ypp which is very low for a QB including only 86 yards of total team offense in the second half until that TD which is also awful.

You don't get to cherry pick and take stats away but then not give credit for the plays that his receivers dropped. If you take away the last TD, you'd have to add the Thomas drop and the Lacy drop, both of which would've resulted in more yards than the BTJ last touchdown.

I just love how people are quick to negate that last touchdown but won't also recognize that his receivers left a ton of meat on the bone.

Not when he looks at only one receiver route per pass play.

Thomas had to break stride, turn, and wait for the ball. Better throw = easy catch. Try again.

Not how that works, the 74 yard TD had no bearing on the game, it’s meaningless and you can’t add imaginary yards. Your post is a deflection, nobody is saying those balls shouldn’t have been caught but drops happen every game and they happened for both teams.
