re: Nuss was pissed he didn’t play Saturday

Like I said after the game.. idiotic program management like this - not in game decisions like kicking the fg or going for it - is why Orgeron was fired. This is such a joke. Orgeron has no idea what he's doing or how to maintain control.
And I'd be pissed if we burn Nuss's redshirt now after he didn't play against Alabama.

What the literal frick I can’t even comprehend how stupid this is.
When you consider who the head coach is it will start to make a little more sense.

This proves/confirms that O has been lying all season long about best practice, best defense, redshirt, etc., etc. You can't believe a word he says!

It’s pretty clear what happened. Ed lied in his press conference after the game on why Nuss didn’t play. It was easy to say “him and his family didn’t want us to burn the redshirt”
It takes all blame off of O and makes him look like a “good guy”
Problem is it’s a bold faced lie and any fricking parent should be irate if a coach uses them as a lie like that

I’m not sure why people are pissed at O about this

Orgeon is a compulsive liar. He has no idea how to run the program and lies to cover himself. Miles tried to deceive the media but he knew how to run a program. Orgeron lies to the media, lies to the fans. He was probably behind the lies about his wife when they got divorced. Are we supposed to believe Orgeron started banging 20 year olds after he got divorced?

It would be absolutely asinine for Nuss and/or his family to have ever wanted a redshirt in any way, shape, or form. Any playing time he gets now is a showcase for the next coach or next program that he plays in.
Something stinks.

This is exactly what happened. He just thought the entire fan base is as dumb as his loyal followers, a couple of which have posted in this thread, and that no one would catch on to the fact that Nuss could have played Saturday night and still redshirted.

I think it should be the choice of the player and or his family on whether the red shirt should be used. It would be better to have Nuss be a soph next year than be classed the same as Walker. A change in the 4th qtr may have confused bama enough to have nuss make plays with his feet.

I don’t blame him. It may have provided a spark to pull out a win. Frustrating this conversation didn’t happen earlier

It hurts knowing how close we were to pulling off this win

I have a hard time believing an NFL coach would call another coach and act like a Karen about their son's playing time. They're coaches and know how much of a headache dealing with parents are, why would they do that shite to another one in their profession?
They didn’t. Garret, a man kid, walked into his coach’s office alone and expressed his desire to compete and play now. I think the daddy call is O trying to save his public arse... Doug Nussmeier has minded his fricking business all year long and has raised a tremendous and respectful kid.

I absolutely beleive the father called. I would call and be fricking livid. You don’t use my name in your lies to cover your arse. frick that

The rest of the team, who were playing their asses off, deserved to see the coaches at least give them HOPE something could change.
But at least put Nussmeier in and try to win the game.

Maybe but he wasn’t karening for playing time. (We in agreement)

frick the Nuss camp for wanting him to redshirt, and frick Ed for allowing parents to run the program.

Doug Nussmeier sounds like a soccer mom
