OL gave up how many sacks last night? 0.
Pressure definitely caused the first interception. Nuss is to blame too, but the oline got beat.

So we get a good OC, offense improves but Baker leaves and D takes a step back?
I’m sure Baker is a good DC, but he is absolutely loaded with talent and depth at all three levels. That has more to do with the defensive improvement than coaching.

I’ve seen bad QB as an LSU fan & man Nuss is up there on the list tbh.
No he’s not. Nuss is in a system in which the QB has to be excellent. Anything less and the offense sputters. It’s a system that attracts good QBs. LSU used to run offensive systems built around the running game. If you took those QBs - JJ, Lee, Brandon Harris, et al - and put them in this offense, you’d have train wrecks that would make Nuss look a whole lot better.

I've been saying this the last few weeks, but a lot of the idiot Nuss defenders come out of the woodworks to blindly defend this kid.
Other than the SC game last year where he was fine, name me one good game against good SEC competition that Nuss has played against where you thought "He played well!" I ain't talking about OU, Vanderbilt or Arkansas last year either.
Nuss is Goldilocks. Conditions have to be JUST right for him to excel (clean pocket, good pass protection, solid run game to keep the defense honest).

Yes we ran it better because of the big runs we had. We were more committed to the run, which was good to see. Because of this and nuss being a little healthier, we did move the ball well. Yes nuss can’t make stupid mistakes that he did to cost us 10 points in scoring territory. But even with those mistakes, if Johnson on the goal line and Hilton on the catch make their plays, we probably win 34-10 and you aren’t even starting this thread and pinning it on Nuss. If anything, this game showed we can move the ball well with run support.

Burrow’s stats go down when 2018 is included.
Nuss played much better last night imho.
Their defensive line play was pretty damned good as well (especially their defensive tackles).
Nuss got hit all night long.
How do you make a post shitting on Nuss and not mention that?

Do you not think that?
JuJuan Johnson fumbled the ball going into the endzone.
Nuss had Kyle Parker wide open and sailed it right before half, which would've put us in the red zone. Would've been at least three points.
He throws another pick right at the goal line when we're in the redzone.
That could've easily been an extra 21 points right there.

Misconception that Nuss played well agaisnt the Hogs. Rewatch the game, you'll see him throwing 3 Ints that were legitimately DROPPED by Arkansas. Im talking about in their hands dropped, not a circus catch drop.

My God you are dumb.
You should ban yourself for such moronic statement.

So you use last years stats then use “5th year Sr.” as a critique of his career stats? Kinda weird no?
Posted on 10/13/25 at 9:45 am to Madking
It's his career total against SEC competition including this year, which isn't very good.

We ran for 160 yards last night, and should have been over 200 so the run game excuse doesn't work for this game.
If our run game is competent, why is a crippled QB trying to sneak for a yard.TD.
We have NO power game. Caleb J, 234 lbs of ineptness.
Emery for ten yeas and now CJ.
Who is in charge of Roster Management.

If you want to defend Nuss, you are doing an awful job of it, because his 2025 SEC stats are awful and his 2p24 stats actually make it look much better. But okay, let's really shite on the guy.
2025 SEC Stats for Nuss
59.3% completion. 4 TDs 4 INTs 2 Fumbles.

Not defending him, you’re using a title then using stats that don’t fall under that description to critique him

Yeah, but we also saw Burrow make the leap to greatness the next year. We're halfway through the season and Nuss is basically the same as he was last year but with more game experience, which is very concerning.
I'm not going to defend the O-Line because they aren't great, but Nuss's decision making leaves quite a lot to be desired, which is putting it mildly.

Madking will do anything to defend Nuss. Even wanted to bench a Heisman winner for him

Possibly - yes.
Easily…nah.
The good news is, they left a lot of points on the field, and still won by ten.

Unless he gets hurt, he's the #1, sucks but, BK won't bench him.
He makes terrible mistakes but he moved the ball pretty well against USCe. Not sure what MVB would do with this OL and running game. He can run better and would run more but MVB doesn’t have blazing speed.
