Nuss needs to run some sort of "Pro Style" offense next year. (Get under the center)

The offense that they ran last year didn't work. Nuss never ran the ball around the end when in the shotgun formation. If he is going to the nfl he needs to learn a nfl offense. I threw shite when it was 4th and short and he didn't get under center to sneak it.
I hope the new offense coordinator has formations with a fullback on short yardage situations. I miss Les Miles sometimes.

What is yalls obsession with getting under center?
He had plenty of opportunities to pull it and run instead of handing it off…n fact, a lot of his reads would have been to pull it or when passing to tuck it and run for big yards. He just didn’t do it. Getting under center doesn’t magically turn the light on for him to run.

They'll fling shite at you here but I believe you are right in theory.
Unfortunately, Nuss has probably never worked under center in his entire life and next year is NOT the year to teach him considering our achievable goals.
I feel like it will take him holding a clipboard for a few years in the NFL to acclimate to turning his back to the defense.

Running play-action with what will be a brand new OL mighttt not be the best decision.
Hopefully he realized he’s more athletic than he thought he was and will pick up the easy yards on the ground when given to him.

You realize that some NFL offenses rarely go under center these days, too, right?

It gives you twice the playcalling options

Shhhhh, you're messing up his 1980's narrative.

Why? The NFL doesnt even snap from under center anymore:

In today’s NFL, over 83 percent of all offensive snaps come with the quarterback in some form of shotgun formation. Some quarterbacks, notably Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow, take over 95 percent of their snaps in the shotgun.
Goff was one of just two NFL quarterbacks who was not in the shotgun on at least 75 percent of snaps in 2023.

Yeah, that’s why the NFL is going back to under center…

Drew Brees played in the '80's?

Tell me why it is 3rd and goal at the 1 yard line and the QB lines up 5 yards behind the center? Makes no sense. He has two opportunities to sneak it in.

You’re spoiling the narrative in their head. Next, someone will say Nuss needs to run a bunch. I remember all the runs Drew Brees tallied in the RPO.

He’s known that he just won’t do it. If it didn’t change at any point in the season until maybe the OU game, I have a hard time believing it will change next year.
The guy is a retard when it comes to running

When we people understand Nuss was not a zone read option Qb but more of a Rpo and play action out of shotgun Qb.

This is becoming almost obsolete.

Nuss needs guys the stretch the field and be playmakers. Expect to see a lot of mesh concepts and getting guys in space. We’re going to use wider splits and speed to open up the run game. Too many teams were able to play man on us last year with one safety. That won’t happen again.

Nuss needs a running game. The formation doesn't matter. LSU needs to have an offense where the LBs and S respect that they might run the ball for 3 - 4 straight downs and if you don't come up to stop it, we'll keep doing it.
Play action had no affect on defenses last year because we weren't a threat to run. With a "new attitude" on the Oline and better running backs, this should help.

The shotgun? Who do they think they are, the New York Jets?
