No. he is not.
I started watching in 1973 so here goes - starting around then - players as or more vilified than Nuss since 1973:
Billy Broussard
Freshman Terry Robiskie (fumbled ALOT).
Carl Otis Trimble
Pat Lyons (after Paul)
David Woodley (folks wanted Ensminger)
Young Willie Teal
Jeff Wickersham
Chris Lewis - kicker
Hodson his senior year
Chad Loup
Jamie Howard
Dunson/DJ Welker/Luke Sanders (or any white linebacker in the late 1990's through 2000's not named Whit Weeks).
Demitrius Hookfin
Craig Nall - EVERYONE wanted Booty and Nall was named starter instead, he was a victim of the Booty hype, then when we found out Booty wasn't as good as hyped - mainly because we overhyped him - we then turned on him pretty fiercely.
Brandon Harris
Jarret Lee/Jordan Jefferson - alternated as extremely vilified the whole time they were here together.
Max Johnson
Weston Davis

Those teams as a whole was still solid. This team on another hand is poorly coached, Soft, and Dumb. Nuss is unfortunate to get all the blame but if we were a good team he would be getting all of the praise. Brian Kelly should receive 90% of the blame

Jennings is the worst starting QB in the history of LSU Football. He was absolutely horrific but benefitted from having a great O Line and Leonard Fournette.

Didja ever see a place kicker flip off the entire student section because the ongoing vitriol from his peers finally got to him?
There have been lots of vilified players in LSU history. Not sure Nuss even makes the top 10, let alone the podium, let alone MVP.

Ive never seen a player do less with more. Ive never seen a player get so much credit for stats only.
