LoL, No

Advanced metrics says he plays his best game under pressure

The average FBS quarterback sees their passing efficiency drop over 20% when pressured, Nussmeier actually averaged over two yards more per pass attempt against pass rush pressure.

This is a little misleading. He is that high up in stats because our run game is poor.

How in the flying titty frick is that misleading?

In short, the offense needs to be more consistent, and that includes Nuss.

I agree with you....nuss needs to step it up and throw for 500 a game and 85% completions. That 310 per game with 71% completion rate isn't going to cut it.

He steps up when he’s pressured outside and he sometimes throws off his back foot when he has pressure in his face. This is what you’re supposed to do. You could argue the back foot throws aren’t idea but neither is pressure up the middle which usually results in a sack. He’s getting criticized for turning sacks into completions lol.

I covered this

Bad run game = more passing attempts

OP is a lot of volume stats

A better run game should have his efficiency and play scale up, while his volume stats decline

If volume stats got you drafted, lots of Leach guys would have gone in the first and JJ McCarthy would have been drafted in the 4th

I think it’s pretty clear to NFL scouts that we don’t run an air raid system.

I don’t think anyone is saying Nuss doesn’t have some things to work on, but he’s already well ahead of the pace Daniels hit in his first season here without the benefit of previous seasons of starting experience (and that’s not meant to be a knock on Daniels, because his running and mobility were badly needed that season and offset some of the passing struggles). He’s improved on what was considered to be his biggest weakness coming into the season. His numbers are better than what most expected going into the season, especially in terms of turnovers.

Your definition of fine is just a lot different than mine.

Because they won't be against real teams

It's a bad habit.

You are wasting your time with this fraud....Her, Lester, DBG, Salvanti, and a few others know more than Scouts, Hall of fame coaches (Saban), Herbstreit, and others. W/hat do those people know? Also, he is currently projected as a middle of first round pick right now...not bad for a guy that has all these issues.

It's not because WR's cannot get deep

Actually.. he hit Lacy in the hands 3 times yesterday fitting the ball into a TINY window, BECAUSE Lacy can NOT get open lately.
I know sometimes he’s doubled, but usually when he’s doubled Nuss goes elsewhere with the ball.
Lacy dropped 2 TD passes yesterday because he was one on one with a defender and couldn’t beat the coverage.
And if you’ve been paying attention, it’s been a trend.
Nuss has definitely missed CJ wide open for a TD a couple times, but it was because he never saw him thus didn’t throw the ball to him, not because he threw a bad pass.
How can you complain about the deep ball after that connection with Kyle Parker. That was ELITE ball placement.

USCe’s DL was considered to be top 4 in the SEC before this season, they have backed that up so far, and they sent 7 and 8 at Nuss on multiple occasions last weekend. But let’s just say they aren’t “real” for some reason.

He doesn’t like Nuss because he’s a pocket passer and that’s really all there is to it so no matter what Nuss does there will always be a “muh but” with that guy.

“But.....But..... But..... he's not very good because he can't run. Morons.”

Remind me again…how many ranked teams has LSU played so far?

What do you guess it would be if he was throwing to Nabers and Thomas.

Two were broken up by DBs. Lacy has been fine.
