He showed who he really is when that moment happened

Jayden showed he really is transferring from ASU. That's how pathetic you sound. He didn't play in a meaningless bowl with half a roster for a coaching staff out the door that would have cost him a YEAR of eligiblity. Grow up. Yes, Etling or Burrow would have done the exact same. Thankfully they were never put in that position.

Agreed.

At that time there was a completely new coaching staff coming in. One that didn't recruit Nussmeier and one that he didn't sign with. I'm sure at that time he was still deciding if he was going to remain at LSU or go elsewhere for the following season. It would have been foolish, for HIM, to burn a year of eligibility just to appease the fans and play for a 7-6 record. I think he definitely would have played had he been able to maintain his redshirt. But I'm not going to knock a kid for making a decision he felt was best for HIS well-being simply because it hurt my enjoyment as a fan. That's absurd.

In the grand scheme of things that matter, LSU losing the Texas Bowl is way down the list.

I honestly thought when I clicked on this thread it was going to be about Nuss finally getting the nod and his receiving corps while talented, are going to be extremely inexperienced.

Nuss is no Jayden Daniels or Joe Burrow (not now at least) but he has potential. He's got a cannon for an arm but his accuracy needs to improve. IMO given that LSU is a genuine QBU I expect him to improve steadily.

We should be able to see his potential in that Wisky game.

I’m not saying he is going to start. I do not believe he will beat out Nuss, but I don’t believe for a second that he wasn’t told he will have a chance to compete. Not sure why you’d wish him to do poorly either.

Yes, Nuss will give his best shot, and I believe will start!
But damn, Swann is a Tiger now! Can we stop bashing the kid as some bum from Vandy! Pulling for all Tigers!!
