I’m a little surprised people in this thread are sleeping on Myles Brennan in terms of recent arm strength. Dude had a cannon and was very accurate (but lacked touch).

I think Nussmeier is a lot more athletic than Brennan but I’m not convinced he has a stronger arm.

Seen them both, Nuss has a bigger arm.

He most certainly has a stronger arm than Bren. I'm telling you, Nuss is Favre jr in mentality and arm.

Burrow doesn't have the strongest arm, he can place it wherever he wants with precision and timing.

Daniels can launch it down field but didn't have the accuracy of Burrow, but could run like a deer in November.

Nuss is a smaller Mett, and that's perfectly fine. Shame we didn't get more out of Mett, OBJ and Juice with Hill.

That 13 roster is loaded with NFL talent. Waste

Call me crazy, but I love a gambling QB. Might lose you a game, might win you a game, but it's going to be fun to watch regardless.

I just want to watch good football. We have been spoiled with Burrow and the best season ever then JD who could turn hot garbage into a 30 yard gain.

I think a lot of quarterbacks during the Les Miles era would have been successful with a different coach. LSU could probably have 1 or 2 national championships if Miles wasn’t so stubborn.

I really like the Mettenberger post.

Mett under LSU's modern offense... Can you imagine? He would have been a 1st round selection.

If he can hit targets with the touch and accuracy of Joe, then he can be in the same class as him, right now he's a guy that has a tremendous amount of potential with great arm strength. I do think if he limits the mistakes and plays the way he did in the bowl game ( overall performance for the game ), he can put himself in a position to go to the pros after this year. I'm pulling for him, in the day and age we're in now with so many transfers because of lack of playing time, he stayed committed and loyal to LSU. If that line keeps him clean, I think he can light it up.

I got a million downvotes when I said Nuss reminds me of Aaron Rodgers.

Strong arm, quick release, gunslinger mentality, and wheels to extend plays. He has good size and I feel he will be a Top 5 pick when he leaves.

Aaron Rodgers has an insane arm, but he does not have a gunslinger mentality. Dude is surgical with the football and in his prime had I think the best ever TD/INT ratio. That isn't a gunslinger.

Another poster said Favre, and that's way more accurate in terms of style I think.

Also he's never been a starter in college, so right now he's nobody

Brandon Harris could spin it harder than Nuss. Harris has an absolute frickin' rope. Terrible QB, but bazooka right arm.

since? Are you talking in the 2000’s?

Jamarcus Russell has the strongest arm in the history of football.

I'm not the only one who says that. Professionals in the sport say that.

I am very confident that Nuss is positioned for success this year. He has the talent, he has been in the system, he has the team behind him, and he has the emotional and intellectual makeup to process quickly. I hope the competition continues to underestimate him.
