I am still raving about the sauce picante. I will be trying to make it for my next football party. I'll probably try to get venison, since turtle and gator are a little hard to come by up here.

Its really not that hard, just a long process and Venison makes a great gravy. You will do fine, but if you need any help let me know............

Our Krewe had much praise for your group and we really enjoyed entertaining y'all.

By the way, does your Summerside friend's last name start with an "S"? Could be a relative.

Yes it is. My guy's name is Chris Somers. Grant is his uncle. Chris's father Gary and Grant are brothers. Small world.

I've met Gary and sister Susan as well. Grant's had a tough year with health, but glad to see he's back playing "scratch golf" and representing PEI well in the recent Maritime Cup matches.

Grant's wife's (Andy Lou) brothers all played golf at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA some 15+ years ago during the post-Hal Sutton years, as did I prior to Sutton. John roommated with Zach Johnson's caddie for a couple of years. Good sticks still!

Dutchtown vs Destrehan. It was a little wet, and the home team lost, but a lot of fun. All the guys thoguht it was a highlight. It is just good 'ol real life stuff. People handed us left over tickets as we walked into the stadium. Really impressive facilities.

I spoke to Chris. He knows the connection. That's some good golf company. Lots of good golf in PEI.

I'll have to figure out a way to get my contact details to you. We can play some golf when you are up this way.

sounds good.

Glad you enjoyed a taste of Louisiana - too bad you didn't have time for a night in New Orleans.

We had a day and night in NOLA. Great town. We barely scratched the surface though. We'll have to go back.

Don't remind me about 2007. I was torn between that game and the Notre Dame USC game at ND. Chose ND instead, and they were blown out a million to 0. I left half way through the 3rd quarter. What a mistake that was.

Halifax - Great meeting you and I'm glad you had a good time. Your group covered a lot of ground in a short time frame. You have a lifetime, standing invitation to our tailgate if you ever come back. Maybe you can bring the little ones next time.

Hopefully one day I'll get up your way for some cheap lobster. That's the plan if I can ever get my kids ($$$$) out of college.

So where are "the Canadians" thinking of going next year? I have an inkling that you'll come back to BR one day.

Goose, thanks for the invitation. I will be back. As mentioned above, I think I have now been spoiled. I'd like to bring my girls down with me. I think they would have a blast.

If you are up this way, please look me up. With any luck lobster prices will still be very low. The fishermen don't like it, but we sure do. Lately live, fresh off the boat market lobsters have been going for $5/pound. That's cheaper than hamburger. Guys were selling them out of holding tanks on the back of their pickups all over town.

Next year is already being discussed. Believe it or not, there is momentum to go to the Arkansas/Ole Miss game in Fayetteville. A number of us went to unversity with a guy who is a highschool football coach at Rogers near there. I don't know...

Any Arkansas folks out there, please fell free to pass along any advice or the name of their best message board.

BTW I'd consider the LSU game at Arkansas, however, I travelled on the american thanksgiving weekend last year, which was not ideal.

Might try to hit the Cotton Bowl if that's where LSU plays this year. Hopefully that will not be the case though and they end up in the NCG - dare to dream Tigers.
