Why are people on Reddit so emo?

It’s like it’s full of only women and unhinged lunatics

Have you ever read the rant after a loss?

That would make even LSU fans blush.

I think BK just wants a puppet at OC. Rees wouldn’t be calling the same offense under BK.

This is what you get when your number one consideration for hiring a coach is the color of his skin. Notre Dame went woke along time ago. Now, it’s going broke.

concerning that BK wanted to bring Rees here with him.
not in the lease bit. Reese I’m sure is a great DC. In NO WAY at all does that translate into head coach. Similarly, I have some great engineers who work for me, but in no way could they ever actually manage team of their own. I see that clearly. ND got “hard sold” into promoting Reece, when they should have let him walk with BK.

A once proud program and I think justifiably so, has got to make changes at the end of this season.

Idk if ND will ever be a championship program again. They benefitted HEAVILY from tv exposure when it wasn’t available to everyone. That made them special. Southern Miss is on tv every week now. With a level playing field, I dont think ND climbs back up.

Not hiring an established coach is going to be the nail in the coffin for ND. They couldn’t afford to gamble on an unproven guy and now they’ll be irrelevant going forward without a conference. They’ll have to join one.

Freeman was a terrible hire. Your first HC job should not be at Notre Dame. ND wigged on this and it will set their program back five years because they cannot fire him for at least three years. Coaching careers go to die at ND for a lot of people.

Let this be a lesson to our fans. I’ll admit the Kelly hire wasn’t my favorite, but the reality is we are improving and ND is failing without him. We pay him enough to criticize but be careful what you wish for calling for heads.

I'm not comparing Freeman to Kirby but stating you have to hire a previous HC is dumb as hell at an established program.

OU
Clemson
UGA
Baylor
FSU
OSU
Boise

All hired coordinators that became pretty damn successful some more than others. Kirby, Aranda, Jimbo, Peterson, day, dabo, Riley.

Congrats on winning the offseason, LSU. You have somehow accidentally destroyed A&M and Notre Dame by not hiring Jimbo

Comparing any of those to ND is dumb, too. There are way more restrictions at ND and way more scrutiny. There are the same or greater expectations at ND. The last five ND coaches before BK were unsuccessful for the those reasons and are no longer in coaching at all. ND job is a coach killer for those unprepared.
