The only 2 LA resident Bama fans that I know both went to a certain school in Lafayette

Just a coincidence I’m sure

New Orleans has a ton of them. I believe Alabama has replaced Ole Miss as the out-of-state school of choice for resident New Orleanians.

I know a guy who graduated from LSU and is the biggest Tide fan in the world. He became a fan of the Tide during the 90s when LSU had bad football teams. You cannot make that stuff up.

Sadly this is a lot of Louisiana hs kids nowadays. It seems like they are not growing up LSU fans and bleed it like we all did coming up. The majority either don’t give a damn about LSU or are bama bandwagoners. My girlfriends little sister is in 8th grade and was at the mall with a bunch of guys her age during the Georgia game. I just couldn’t fathom being that age and from Baton Rouge and being at the mall during a game that big

My aunt is an Atlanta and Bama fan but also a LSU season ticket holder.

I just don't get it.

I know what you mean. Back in high school I worked a Grocery store job circa mid-80’s. On LSU Saturday nights virtually no one would come into the store.

I ultimately quit that job because it didn’t allow me to go to enough LSU games. I recall reluctantly telling my dad that I quit and why. He patted me on the back and said I got you covered. It meant something back then.

Might as well give Marcus Spears one of those Scarlett A's.

I was a freshman at lsu in 2009 when we played the #1 ranked gators at home. Called in to my job at fresh pickins to go and they fired me. Didn’t sweat it at all, I may have never had student tickets to the #1 ranked team again. Ended up being a horrible game though we lost 13-3

I wasn't going to point out that the logo isn't scarlet, but their school color is in the fricking team name.

That’s a guy supporting his alma mater.

Nowhere near the same thing as some Lafayette kid jumping on the bama bandwagon without ever even leaving Acadiana.
