Sure would've been nice to have him a 3B this year

The best thing to come out of all of this is that our pitchers are resting in the summer.

Letting their bodies recover will hopefully prevent the injury bug from coming at us next year.

I am pretty sure he can't recruit off campus as a volunteer. There is no way he would take the pay cut to be a volunteer after the classes he has pulled in.

Maybe he wants to be a head coach. I wonder if he'd be interested in joining the prestigious ranks of Joe Scheuerman and Jeff Willis without having to leave the friendly confines of Baton Rouge? LJ Dupuy has retired from BRCC and they need a new head coach. He could help take that program to the next level and maybe finally get one of their players recruited by LSU.

I've tried not to let that thought creep into my mind too much.

Admittedly, I was a much bigger fan of Slaughter than most here.

But he should serve as a warning, a lot of people were glad to see him go. Newer isn't always better.

ETA: Same with Feduccia.

Yea I forgot about that. Was just trying to think what he could be useful for if he was moved into the volunteer position. I would like to know if other programs have someone like Cain in one of the two paid positions. Tough spot to be in

and as luck would have it, Feduccia has been hovering b/t .280 and .300 in the minors all season this year and hit .290 in A ball last year after our season was over.

Two healthy hands and actual hitting coaches, probably.

I said from this year’s team. You apparently can’t read.

Oh, didn't know that. Who did they hire?

ETA: It's strange, but definitely on brand, for them to not even mention the new coach on their website.

you're right I can't read

who was cut from this year's team is in the OP (who can't read again?). Unless you think Mathis, Threadgill, and Ripoll are transferring on their own accord (they aren't). And with us still not down to 35 players, there will be more eventually.

Jake Slaughter was told to sign or he would be gone. Not very often a draft-eligible sophomore leaves for $125k

Chris Reid was initially cut

Nick Webre transferred out

Taylor Peterson trasnferred

Matt Schroer transferred before the season last year

Brandon Nowak transferred

Other than the Chris Reid story that has been all over everywhere do you have reasons on why each of these transferred?

You have actual knowledge on their conversations that led to the decision to transfer?

yes, they were told to look for a school to transfer to because they wouldn't have a spot on the roster the following year.

That’s interesting you know so much about each situation.

And it's even more interesting how ignorant/naive you seem to want to portray yourself.
