Jaden Hill not throwing yet, may not throw in fall.

This is concerning...

He needs to 1) have surgery now; 2) transfer; or 3) be cut. There is no point in keeping him on our limited # of scholarships to never be ready to throw. We keep cutting young guys with experience to make room for incoming freshmen while we keep perpetually injured pitchers on the roster for years on end. Not like we can put them on the DL and call up a pitchers from the minors.

Mainieri mentions Dugas, Garza, Cabrera, Hughes, DiGiacomo will all be in Cape Cod this summer.

Mainieri said Jaden Hill hasn’t started throwing again, but he’ll be recovering this summer. Can’t say with 100 percent certainty that he’ll be pitching in the fall, but it’s a possibility. #LSU

This will be his own undoing.

There is zero reason to keep Gibbs, Cain, Ochinko on staff. Paul should have damn near a blank check to go about getting the absolute best position coaches, especially those with experience.

This just tells me he’s complacent with the results of the last 2 seasons.

Sounds like Hilliard but at least they know what is going on with Hill, I don’t think they ever determined anything with Ma’Khail

will take the summer off

Why don't they just stop with this $hit!?

I thought his "Brooklyn swag" would be a nice touch on the team, but at some point you have to stop believing in Santa Claus.

I've gotta think that he's just saying that as it is premature to have done any digging on coaching replacements. I imagine that if there were changes coming it would be after the CWS. But I agree that something needs to change.

I can make an argument for Cain seeing how our recruiting has been doing.

Wasn’t a big player rumored to be transferring at the end of season? I feel like we would hear about that today.

Anyone know where CJ Willis is playing summer ball at? Cape seemed likely too me..

James Moran

Maurice Hampton will spend all fall committed to football, as you would expect.
Paul thinks he might hit in the cages on his own on sundays, but coaches can’t spend any time with him.
Paul and Ed Orgeron haven’t sat down about his schedule yet
#LSU

Landon Marceaux and Devin Fontenot won’t throw this summer, Paul says.
“We discussed it at length with both of them, and we think the best thing for them is to rest.”
#LSU

Paul Mainieri says he’s analyzing why #LSU struck out more this season. He’s clearly annoyed by it.
“If were going to strike out as much as we did, we’ve got to hit more home runs.”
Says team must be better at hitting off-speed pitches

Daniel Cabrera’s thumb/wrist is fully healthy, Paul says, but both Paul and Cabrera believe his year was “ok.”
He’ll spend his summer in the Cape Cod League

The plan is for Daniel Cabrera to move to right field next season

Mainieri: CJ Willis will be a first baseball, left fielder or DH. Mainieri says the biggest thing for him is to “kick it into another gear” in terms of energy and love for the game.

“He needs to be passionate and obsessed with the game and see that potential come to fruition.”

Mainieri says Hill, Storz, and Henry will take the summer off.

If Storz is still not healthy, we need to politely tell him to go play JUCO and bring in someone who can play. He's going on three years of just wasting a roster spot.

Mainieri notes the first six years Alan Dunn was at LSU, “I can’t remember an injury” to a pitcher. “The last two years, we’ve had a barrage.” Says Dunn hasn’t changed a thing

I'm shocked he even touched on this. There is something fricked up in the LSU program. It may not be Dunn, but someone is screwing up.

Just like Les did. If we miss Omaha again, I hope Woodward does what's right and move forward with a splash hire.
