Note on targets/receptions

When Leavitt threw to Green (4), Watkins (3), or Brown (3), he was 10/10 for 137 yards.
Contrast with the passes to Harris (7) and Wilson (5), where he was 3/12 for 9 yards.
This isn’t to bash Wilson and Harris, I think they’ve looked good this year. It’s to say that some things were working last night, but we didn’t acknowledge what worked and adjust to it.
Trey’Dez looked like a monster on each of his 4 touches, but he didn’t get a look until mid second quarter and then only sporadically from there. He should be exactly what you look for when it’s not going well.

We don’t have an elite WR1. Just a bunch of mid WRs. That’s fine when you have a Trey’Dez green, but now that he’s likely done, it’s not looking good at all

Well to be fair, Harris might have caught that ball on the sideline if he wasn't interfered with.

The reason they don’t go to him 90% of the time is bc he’s 6’7 and want to limit the amount of opportunities for someone to blast his knee apart

Y’all have to stop making excuses for Leavitt. Seen him straight up miss wide open dudes with my own two eyes on several occasions. It’s a theme.

Please quote the excuse. Leavitt was too inaccurate for us to win last night and he left yards and TDs all over the field.
That said, my point was that certain things were working and certain things weren’t, but we seemed to keep trying to fit square pegs into round holes

Wilson was wide open for an easy touchdown with a somewhat accurate pass. I think when film guys start doing breakdowns they are going to point out the incredible number of wide open receivers. I can think of 5-6 plays right off the top of my head that would have been explosive or even been scores, had accurate passes been made.
What I don’t know is if it’s a SL issue or O-Line issue. I’m leaning towards both and when they get it worked out we will see the offense take it to a whole new level
