Bird's trash talk is some of the funniest I've ever heard. At the collegiate level...my perspective is that it is different. I know I'm in the minority here...but just offering my perspective. My kids will never say anything but "Good game"....because my opinion is that anything else is a bit trashy. To each their own.
1. If you think Bird wasn’t talking trash in college you’re an idiot.
2. If you don’t think your kids will talk trash when you aren’t around to hear you’re an idiot
3. Caitlyn Clark talks more trash than any other college player today so I’m not going to be upset if we do it too.
4. Grow up

And what is your perspective? Were you a player? Or is it that it bugs you more when it's women that do it?

he old timers like Ruth used to run the bases, sometimes with head down, and let their bat speak for them.
This might be one of the most ridiculous things I've seen posted on the OP. Ruth, who actually called his home run in the WS!

know people talk trash in sports. It used to be sort of taboo. But nowadays, with mics everywhere, it's plain as day.
Trash talk was never taboo. You said it in your next sentence…we just see it more now because the cameras and mics are better.
Guys were probably worse 50 years ago than they are today. My dad played college ball in the 60s and used to talk about that stuff all the time
