I realize offense has many concerns and is rightfully talked about more, but how is everyone feeling about this D. Aranda’s 3rd year, finally some depth on the line, solid backers, and an elite secondary. Can this unit be on the level of the ‘07 & ‘11 squads?

You summed it up quite well. D will talk on field, not message board.

We talk about the defense all the time on here. Arguably more than the offense.

It’s been well documented that the expectations are high for the Defense

Best front 7 in a few years. Best LB in recent memory. Solid secondary that could turn into a GREAT secondary if Fulton is allowed to play. And a DC that should be in the NFL somewhere. I think we’ll be fine on that end of the stick

I am Pretty excited about this defense.

Especially if we get Fulton back.

I think The quality of starters on DL should be better, I am Concerned about the quality of the depth but we are deeper.

I think If we don’t take too many injuries we will be a top 10- too 5 Defense.

Why do a lot of people automatically assume Fulton will be able to just step right in and play lights out?

Would it be any different than what Greedy did last year?

Because he was rated higher than Greedy coming out if high school. He has been practicing and working out since his suspension, its not like he has been sitting on the couch for the past year. Even if he is a fraction of himself he can contribute to a group that needs another body.

So every blue chip corner we get is likely to play like greedy?

That’s not unrealistic at all.

How about the ‘03 & ‘11 squads? One of these three is not like the other.

‘03 11.0 pt/gm & 252 yd/gm

‘07 19.9 pt/gm & 289 yd/gm

‘11 11.3 pt/gm & 261 yd/gm

Of course not, but both players had a a year of nothing but practice. So, I don't see why just because he didn't play last year that would mean he can't come on this year and play really well.

Hes been practicing the whole time and aranda said he was better than greedy and everyone expected Fulton to have the year greedy had last year.

Tolliver and Jackson had years of practice, were 5 stars, and couldn’t hold Greedy’s jock.

Sense they couldn't do it, does that mean Fulton can't? That works both ways. All I was saying is that it's not some outlandish idea that Fulton can come in and play well.
