That field was hard to look at

I’d take Chalmette High’s baseball stadium over that abomination in Norman

I was really surprised that a big division 1 school like Oklahoma played in that. Do they generally fill up the grassy areas?

I’m telling y’all they are a softball school
They just built a massive softball stadium bigger than the baseball

In 2022, OU finished 3rd in the Big12, beat UF in a regional, and was CWS runner-up to Ole Piss.
Their average attendance that season was 816.

OU’s average attendance: 816, for 23 games at Mitchell Park. The Sooners moved their Texas series to Arlington, and those games would have provided a good gate, but that’s sort of the point. The Sooners moved their Texas series to Arlington.

PG has nicer looking facilities. That stadium is embarrassing as a representative of the SEC.

The sec needs to impose some standards

The hills of dead grass next to the seating is a look for sure.

Looked like there were giant holes in the berm like some bored kids and a shovel got to work building a fort or something

Well their facilities are being exposed now that they’re in the SEC and in the spotlight.
The money they’ll gain from joining the conference should help upgrades

My thought was they got SEC money now. That facility will be better than the box in 3-5 years.

I found it funny that Todd Walker was trying to make a point about how SEC baseball has risen to a level of greatness and gives the players the “feel” of performing in front of big crowds like the MLB experience.
THEN, the camera, on cue, panned the stands and the “crowd”.
