The 2 most identifiable transfers have been Jake Coker (who was riding the bench behind Jameis), and took Bama to a championship. And Russell Wilson who led Wisky to the Rose Bowl, losing after not scoring in the 4th qtr

Jake Rudock (Mich) - 10-3 season. Citrus Bowl victory over Fla

From there its mostly misses:

Malik Zaire (Fla) - started only 2 games, both losses

Greyson Lambert (UGA) - the starting QB when Richt got fired. Eventually lost his job to Eason under Kirby Smart

Jake Heaps (Miami) - beat out by a freshman QB

Austin Appleby (Fla) - Lost out to Del Rio, but ended up starting 7 games, 4-3. He did however beat LSU

Vernon Adams (Oregon) - started 10 games, 7-3. Lost to TCU in the Alamo Bowl

Clint Trickett (W, Va) - ended up retiring from football due to injuries

Everett Golson (Fla St) - started 8 games, was injured, then benched

Trevor Knight (A&M) - 8-5 season, with a loss to Kansas St in the Texas Bowl

Dakota Prukop (Ore) - started 5 games, and then benched in favor of a freshman QB

I think you're forgetting someone that just won the heisman and got drafted first overall?

edit : nvm you specified graduate transfer. Not really sure why that's any different tbh.

Knight was decent enough. A&m is an 8-5 type of team

None of their careers have anything to do with him. Please say you're sorry for starting this dumb thread.

Dude was really good when he was healthy.

Oregon would've won that Alamo Bowl going away if he didn't get knocked out before halftime.

Which one of those teams was as good outside of QB as we are

Not alot of upside? Dumb thread, He looks good on film, we have a potentially top 10 team with him on the team. Where is the downside? for us, we either get more wins because we got a better QB or he gets beat out. For him, he gets a chance to compete to play for a top 10 team in the SEC on the national stage or he isn't good enough and should potentially focus his career in another direction. I only see upside, I want to throw some insults in there too but can think of any clever ones.

Facts are negative now?

A grad transfer rarely makes your team better. A few times he didn't even take the starting job

But can you list any who had two years of eligibility left?

The same applies to every school on that list. But only 2 ended up in a major bowl with a grad transfer

He won't hurt, will probably win the job.

Why are you specifying grad transfer? Is it any different than someone that goes to DII as a SO and transfers in as a JR?

Because they are totally different and a grad transfer is specifically looking to play immediately and not have to sit a year while learning the syste..

HUGE differences...its dumbfounding that you dont realize why
