re: Noot lost us the game

I graduated high school at 128 pounds. I played 3 years of baseball and I hit a total of 4 home runs.. It happens. Put a good swing and get lucky and hit the sweet part of the bat. I outfield had allies of 359 feet, so it wasn't a small field. Noot would have been a hero if he would have struck him out. He didn't load the bases. SEC play starts in 2 weeks and some of these pitchers you are seeing now will only see the field in blowouts

Don’t know why you got a downvote. This is 100% correct. His fastball has 0 swing and miss to it.
lot of people thought Noot could be a weekend starter, so its probably them.

LSU had three hits if you are going to blame something for the loss you should start there

Incorrect. Probably the people who think getting 3 hits against that team is inexcusable. Way worse than giving up one swing on a bad pitch

Definitely didn’t ask your opinion

I don’t care if you asked. This is a board full of opinions. It’s literally the whole point lol

Maybe old Nooter should work on developing a floating change up? Get em off the heater a bit.

This is so true. That fricking noot can’t bat worth a frick. They should let Evans DH for noot.

What does what you said have to do with Noot? Sorry, I should clarify that it makes no sense.

You don't put the closer in when you are losing
I've always hated this logic! Guy hasn't pitched this weekend, arm is fresh, and if you stop the bleeding the game is very winnable.
The closer job is not to be credited with a saved, it's to help his team win the game

If lsu ties or takes the lead in the 9th or past there, you want him available. It’s not really about the save stat, which is just a function of the situation.

I mean both can be true. Noot throws BP and our line up can’t hit said BP currently (Except for Brown).

McDonald is an idiot. He should stick with basketball, its obvious no MLB team will draft him now. Besides, who cares about college baseball, we are a basketball school and Dale Brown will no doubt win 2-3 nattys here, even if he will never be able sign an elite big man in the middle.

Going to be an unpopular take but the home plate umpire cost us multiple runs.
We had multiple backwards K's (or extended at bats that should have been 3-1 or walks) with runners on base because of just straight up bad calls behind the plate.
I know. Sacramento State. We should run rule them every time. blah blah blah. When you build an offensive identity around walks and hard hit balls, and the umpire is calling balls strikes, you are going to struggle.
I love the approach, but we've seen what can happen over the years with Jay teams when umpires are bad. In the last 3 innings of the game, we saw K's from Brown, Dardar, and Arrambide, all with runners on base, all due to bad calls.
